I'm using standard ENB. (i7-3770K+290X+16GB_RAM)
Just changed settings in enblocal.ini to recommended in STEP aside from [GLOBAL]
Code:
UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false
UseDefferedRendering=true
IgnoreCreationKit=true

and changed enbseries.ini [EFFECT] to
Code:
UseOriginalPostProcessing=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false
EnableBloom=true
EnableLens=false
EnableAdaptation=false
EnableDepthOfField=false
EnableAmbientOcclusion=true
EnableDetailedShadow=true
EnableSunRays=true
EnableSunGlare=true
EnableSkyLighting=false
EnableImageBasedLighting=false
EnableReflection=true
EnableSoftParticles=true
EnableParticleLights=true
EnableSubSurfaceScattering=false
EnableWater=true
EnableUnderwater=true
EnableCloudShadows=false
EnableVolumetricRays=true
EnableProceduralSun=true
EnableMist=true

Here is the problem i got in game with this settings. (It is however fixed by setting UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=true)

Too bright:

Normal:

Definitely too bright:

Normal (+mist clouds decided to appear! :o ):

At first i thought this problem is caused by some mod (and i have full STEP Extended setup + some more like Climates Of Tamriel and Enhanced Lights and FX) but before testing it out i decided to run a clean install with ENB only.
And the problem remained. UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=true and everything fine. UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false - fire is too bright.
If i set UseOriginalPostProcessing=false and UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false problem is fixed again but color is weird. I like original look of Skyrim.

So you say i should just set
Code:
UseOriginalPostProcessing=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=true

and be happy.

BUT. Then i done so and did a clean run of Skyrim another problem arouse.
With both UseOriginalPostProcessing and UseOriginalObjectsProcessing set to true AmbientOcclusion is not working :shock:

true
Image
false (AmbientOcclusion appears :? )
Image
true (and decided to stay)
Image

WHAT? Why?
Should i set UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false in .ini and set it to true in game so AmbientOcclusion (and everything else probably) get enabled?
Or is there some other way to fix overly bright fire?

I tried to disable/enable things like Bloom but UseOriginalObjectsProcessing is only thing what works.

Unrelated question - is that glow supposed to be on that mountain?

Oh man. Mod is too much complex for beginners, you should download preset for it, these questions are just beginning. Anyway, sprites of fire are under [FIRE] and [PARTICLE] category of enbseries.ini or editor. If you have particle fix, it modify all fire to fall in to [FIRE] category. First two parameters under [EFFECT] category must be false, if any of them are true, it's cut half of ENBSeries funcionality and any kind of bugs may occur.

Oh, i'll try to find some preset then.
Thanks!

Edit:
Downloaded SkyRealism and it fixed that problem.... now setting
Code:
UseOriginalPostProcessing=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false

fire looks normal... but setting
Code:
UseOriginalPostProcessing=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=true

returns unnatural glow...... somehow it got reversed...

I still set UseOriginalPostProcessing=true because without it everything looks washed out even if i use ENB preset named Vanilla. (thought not to extent of standard ENB w/o using presets).

Funny thing is from SkyRealism Vanilla i just copied enbseries.ini (+ edited it a little to add missing sections/disable unwanted options) and enbpalette.bmp. And it fixed my problem, so it is some setting in standard enbseries.ini causes my problem. maybe.

When you use UseOriginalPostProcessing=true, it means you are using Skyrim's defauly post-processing rather than ENB's. You are losing ENB's post-processing.

Then i set it in-game to true/false can't spot any difference, aside from loss of color saturation/contrast.
AO stays on and that's only thing i really need.

Edit:
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUU..ound it!
Deleted crappy ENB preset and reverted to clean version found here.
And began to play with settings ingame.
First i managed to find how to keep vanilla colors while UseOriginalPostProcessing set to false.
Just had to open shader params and change ENBEFFECT.FX TECHNIQUE to Vanilla :lol:
Colors got fixed.

And for fire it was LIGHTSPRITE causing problems.
It originally set to 4.0 (same as fire Intensity) duding all day for some reason.....
changed it to 1.0 and done!

Everything looks great now. :D
