So, I am a little newer to modding, and am trying to get ENB to run on Skyrim.

I downloaded enbseries_skyrim_v0265, and copied the files into the folder that the launcher is in. Before you ask, yes I changed the bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 value in SkyrimPrefs.ini (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Skyrim). When I run the injector, then the SkyrimLauncher.exe I am brought to the usual main menu. However, if I try to load any files, ENB errors and just says something to the effect of "error bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 or multiple copies of SkyrimPrefs.".

I have tried everything that I could think of to fix this and now I'm at a point that I need some help. If there is any additional information that I need to give let me know. I'm running a Win8 AMD build if that is at all relevant.

You must change SkyrimPrefs.ini file in this folder (??:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim), not where the game is. The one was made as a default one to revert any changes you've made.

Furthermore mod organizers make their own copies, if you use one check its documentation.
