Just a quick question - how exactly are the lighting (color) values for volumetric fog (in Skyrim) determined, ie. where does the actual color of the volumetric fog come from?

In this particular case I'm adjusting lighting values to properly color the environment during specific auroras and while things like waterfalls or Skyrim's local mist effects *are* affected primarily by the "effect lighting" in Skyrim's weathers, this doesn't seem to affect volumetric fog at all. I've also tried setting sunlight and directional ambient lights to extreme values just to check where the color comes from, but none did the trick.

The volumetric fog is blueish by night, white by day, which is perfectly ok for most weathers, but I'd love to adjust it slightly during sunrise/sunset and aurora nights to match the scene's color more accurately.

I'm using the latest binary (.272). Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction.

Color of it computed by the game, may be it's set in weather, i don't know. The only thing i can do is to force values, but this means totally new editing methods and incompatible presets.

Done the proper digging - it's in fact determined by the weather - the color of volumetric fog is determined solely by the "Sky Statics" setting in a weather definition. No other setting at all affects the color. Thanks for clarifying ENB's part in it.

I didn't consider those part of the sky so this was counterintuitive. Leaving this here in case someone else googles for the same thing ;-)
