It appears to be possible - I've downloaded some ENB pre-sets that included ReShade .dll's. Yet, I cannot make ReShade 1.0 (just came out) work with latest ENB in GTA V no matter what I try (proxy library, etc.). How do others make it work? Does it require programming? ReShade has become a mainstream Post-Processing tool in the world of PC Gaming. Now it even allows the use of 3DLUT's to experience fully calibrated colors in games that no ICC / 1DLUT profiles could ever accomplish in the past. Combining it with ENB would be mind-boggling good!

Well, this particular shader can be written/used with ENB also, just no one did that before. The reason why many people code for ReShade instead of ENB is because the external shaders have less options to work with, such as render into texture, more than 8 samplers and so on. The possibilities if ENB could deliver normal sampler, diverse matrices and so on (as it makes use of those in the internal effects) are endless. About combining those, don't really recommend it. Usually proxy library should do the job, if not it's conflict between both mods only their authors can resolve but I feel Boris is hostile against the ReShade mod so I doubt work in his side will ever happen.

Thing is - I saw many profiles and screenshots of people using the latest ReShade and ENB! How do they do it???

I use ReShade's x64 DXGI as ProxyLibrary and edit ENBLOCAL.INI like this:
[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=dxgi.dll

Yet I cannot start the game because it CRASHES! I only enable several ReShade effects - FXAA, LumaSharpen, and TuningPalette (3DLUT). For ENB I only enable its superior MSAA...

That of course cannot work as dxgi.dll is a registered dll name for DX10 and 11. You can use ReShade alone by naming it either dxgi.dll or d3d11.dll, the game will load it. ENBSeries hould also work when called dxgi.dll but maybe Boris made some specific code that doesn't allow this for some reason. You have to name the ReShade dll differently.

If I rename dxgi.dll to ReShade.dll and edit ENBLOCAL.INI like this:
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=ReShade.dll
then I get a crash on startup, before GTA V intro video begins playing.

If I rename dxgi.dll to ReShade.dll, but leave ENBLOCAL.INI like this:
EnableProxyLibrary=false
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=
then only ENB loads, without ReShade

If I leave dxgi.dll as dxgi.dll, but leave ENBLOCAL.INI like this:
EnableProxyLibrary=false
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=
Then only ReShade loads, without ENB

d3d11.dll is already taken by ENB, so I cannot use it for ReShade.

There's got to be a way to make ENB and ReShade work together though - I know it is possible...

I got it to work!!!!! Here's how:
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=FALSE
ProxyLibrary=ReShade.dll

All I had to do was set InitProxyFunctions to FALSE! I always left it set to true because that was the default! I cannot believe nobody here could figure that out!

Hm, that essentially loads but disables ReShade while ENB runs. Maybe both initializing at the same time causes the crash. Well, ReShade is no simple FXAA Injector but in its own way as complex as ENB, interferences are natural.

Both of them, undeniably work when ENBLocal.ini is edited that way. I toggled ENB on and off and did the same with ReShade - both definitely work that way. ENB's superior MSAA + ReShade's superior FXAA + ReShade's mild LumaSharpen application = 90% aliasing-free GTA V!
