I have been using ENB's for close to 3 years now and really have never had a problem until now. I've been using Win. 10 and recently I found out that Win 10 only lets you use 4gb of VRAM (never really used Hi res texture packs until now) when playing Skyrim. I've got a 980ti so naturally I'd like to use all 6gb, so I've done a dual boot of a fresh install of Win 7 and Win 10. ENB installed like normal, yet this time some effects are not working.
After getting the game up and running some of the effects just don't want to work. I think it has something to do with the dxgi.dll as I had the same issues when upgrading to Win 10. However, on Win 10 all I had to do was rename the file to dxgi1.dll and boom everything worked again. On Win 7 though that's not working. I've disabled everything I can think of like and anti virus software, firewall settings, program overlays, etc, yet nothing works.
The ENB i'm using, and have used for almost 2 years because I love it so much, is Seasons of Skyrim.

Renaming that file just removes the error message if you are using SweetFX with windows 10, Nvidia, and Skyrim (Dx9). In most cases SweetFX will not actually be working (easily tested by enabling monochrome or some other clearly visible text). Majority of people can't use SweetFX on Win10/Nvidia/Skyrim - only a few have reported success.

For either OS you need the MS dx runtime files installed from June 2010 I believe. When I installed windows 10 as a fresh install I had to download and install that to get the DX files I needed to run ENB with Win10.

So maybe you are missing those files since you did a fresh win7 install.

Also you don't really need SweetFX with Seasons or any of Bronze's stuff. What he uses SFX for is minimal and easily duplicated with ENB. I ported his SFX settings over to ENB once I realized SFX wasn't going to work anymore with Skyrim on my PC.

Not an expert or anything - just stuff I learned over time and chatting with many folks who have similar issues. Just posting this comment on the off chance it might be useful.

Thanks for the help. I'm also no expert at this so any help is appreciated. I tried downloading and installing the dirextx June 2010, everything installed great but unfortunately it didn't make a difference.
Hmm, it must be something different than the dxgi.dll, because whatever is not working makes a huge difference visually.
Here's something else that may help. When I first installed the ENB files I forgot to fill in the VideoMemorySizeMb, so it was set to 0 and it caused my game to drop to about 1 fps. When this happened I of course hit Esc so I could quit out of the game and fix the issue, but I hit Esc too many times and it basically brought the in-game menu up, then closed it in the next frame. Once the games menu closed and I was back in game the effects were working and the game looked like it was supposed to, but as soon as the game started moving again the effects were gone.
The effects that presumably are working are like AO, DoF, Skylighting, etc because if I toggle them on and off there is a clear difference, however my shadows are super pixelated. It's whatever effects are tied to the ScrLk key. I used to hit that key when playing on Win10 to show friends how big of a difference ENB's make. When I press the key while playing on Win7 there is no change.
I should also state I'm using the new 303 series dll, but it is still present in older dll's.
Apologies for my amateurish explanations. As I explained above, I'm definitely no expert lol.

Edit: So I looked at what the ScrLk key toggles and it's the injector Shaders. Guess I should have looked that up before. Still can't get it to work.

EDIT 2: I found out the problem. Somehow AO got activated through Nvidia inspector. Have never activated it before (why I didn't even bother checking) so I'm not sure how that happened.
