Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Was just wondering if we could get before-after screenshots of the "Bonus Stuff".

Why not, although I don't have any at the moment.
Below are a few old screens of the grass and the clover patch, the fern meshes simply add more geo to get rid of the angularity.

Hey Mindflux, how crazy is the poly boost on the ferns? Your description makes me a little wary about trying it out My PC is decent-ish by today's standards (i7 2600k, 16GB RAM, 2GB 560Ti in SLI) but I average 40fps in Skyrim atm and wondering what kind of fps impact the ferns will cause. Your description of the new ferns makes me wonder if they use 10k+ tris

Well, they are pretty crazy and nothing you could actually use if you'd be developing a game for real
The smaller single ferns are around 3k, the larger clusters 10k and up I guess. Here's how the single one looks with vanilla texture:

Hi Mindflux!
I'm sorry if it's already been asked, but there are a lot of meshes and texture conflicts with SMIM, Ultimate Fire HD, Enhanced Ligths and FX, Ruins and Clutter Improved...and others i can't recall atm....is it safe to overwrite all this files with yours?
Thx!

I'm afraid you need to test yourself - I haven't been playing Skyrim or following the modding scene for quite some time and I have no idea what kind of modifications or additional features the mods you mentioned contain these days.
That said it's pretty safe to predict that my patch or the other mod will not function as designed in case there are conflicting assets, unless of course the author of the mod has implemented the fixes included in my patch.

When in doubt then let particle patch win in all cases.
Most mods have put in the proper settings to the meshes to fix the same issues but some are still only using vanilla meshes. You will normally not be in doubt when you find a mesh does not look like it should... it will most likely be rather glowing, or really dark relative to everything around it.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
A wild guess. When I install SMIM, I get weird light flicking from the distance, when I look at travel carts and new smelters. Can it be the cause of particle patch?

No idea really, but I doubt it - I have not edited anything related to the cart or the smelter. Can you post a screenshot?
