Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Ah you meant that, yes I know what you mean. I'll see if I can figure out a good way to fix it without changing it too much visually.

Both patches updated. Optimized the candle glow particle emitters as much as possible without visual degradation.

"If it’s too bright you should lower the particle intensity for the corresponding time of day."

In the enbseries.ini correct?

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Thanks for the Oldrim update :D You are the best.

One question, this optimization for a candles glow emitters, can it be done for a spells too ? Right now, they are flickering like crazy and the performance impact is really huge:

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Now that's indeed quite a performance hit :D I will take a look but it might be tricky without changing the effect visually, the candle glow was easier since it's more static (and they could be optimized even further by making them static). I'm sure I can figure out something, though, will keep you updated.

By the way that was a nice collection of screenshots in the TES Skyrim thread, the new effects are simply out of this world for such an old game.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Hello mindflux, I'm using the awaken Odin Sword in ZeroFrost's Valkyrie Armor and it reacts to complex firelights. What do I need to do to the mesh to stop it from glowing. I don't want to have a bright light around my character all the time.

Hello. Open the model of the sword with Nifskope (there might be two, one for 1st and one for 3rd person) and find the effect shader property, then, if you want to maintain some lighting decrease the emissive multiple significantly, or if you want to remove it completely, remove "Soft Effect" from shader flags.
