Imperial male children have dark faces and light bodies, and subsurface scattering makes it even more obvious. It seems to be a vanilla Skyrim bug; I disabled all of my mods and renamed the textures and meshes folders and there's still a stark contrast between the body and he head on these kids.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Someone here posted fix for them, may be --Jaws--, maybe Mindflux, don't remember.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Hi,
i came across the glowing mushrooms too and the [WINDOWLIGHT] link. (i know you know about it and decided to not touch them.) I had really different settings for interior day/night for windowlight, so they went from complete dark to overbright with coronaeffect
well i fixed that with constant day/night values, but now the windows everywhere are also fixed, which is kind of sad. but it works and still looks good.
now the second thing. ice spell decals also use [WINDOWLIGHT]. just go to "coc sightlesspit01" until you meet the casters.
(the mushroom that is stationed in the crumbled wall on the way down to the left, where the light shines, is also windowlight, btw)
it was also fixable with the constant values and looks ok.
but maybe those spells are better done with particles?
just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for the report, the issue is probably caused by a buggy model like Boris suspected. I'll take a look when I have time.

You might want to try the subsurface scattering patch available in the first post of this thread. It's been a while so I can't remember what state it is, but it will probably need additional research/work. Don't hesitate to report your findings here, I don't have much free time and all feedback is very much appreciated.

Thanks, I actually implemented the fixes to mushrooms as well chaurus eggs in the patch, check out the latest release.
I'll check the ice spell, depending on a case the fix might need an additional ESP.

Oh Mindflux~ I just found your patch yesterday, using your snow fx and particle patch and the smoking torch together, what can I say, just glorious immersive
By the way, will there be other particle effects you would like to add to Skyrim something like you had done to the snow fx and the smoking torch in the future ?
-Your humble fan, wondering-

hey, thanks mindflux.
i read your changelog and tried the patch before. but the mushrooms are still on windowlight. did you just fix the glow intensity or the windowlight also? maybe it is something on my side.
i put the patch last in loadorder to be sure.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
hello, I have found another object that I think is related to this topic.
I came across this the other day and im pretty sure I am using the latest version of your particle patch.
as you can see the beehive is quite bright at night, not sure if this has been mentioned before by someone else, I looked through a lot of the pages here and didnt see anything but I did not read all posts.
this was taken outside of whiterun to the west between the city and the nearest giant camp.
I overwrote most of my files the last time I updated your mod so I should be using your files if there was anything related to it.
I do have a beehive texture but im reasonably sure that is not causing this, I removed the file and it was still bright like in the pic.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
So here's something that's always driven me nuts, but I have no idea how to fix it.... It's possible that something could be done in the nif though, so I'll bring it up here.
Is there any way to keep the blowing fog from brightening whatever it passes in front of? It's especially noticeable during blizzards when, for example, fog blows in front of a building or mountain and the outline of the building or mountain becomes very white. Turning down the particle intensity and/or lighting influence parameters resolves that, but then the blowing fog is hardly noticeable.
The goal is trying to get whiteout type conditions during blizzards via multiple weathers. But I've not had good luck so far with that since I can't have both good looking blowing fog and intense blowing fog at the same time. So far, anyway...

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Okay I have a weird one!
During my walk across Solstheim I have come across a creek where some of the meshes making it respond to the FIRE settings, while others respond to Particles as they should.
I have set fire intensity to 10.0 and Particle to 2.0 to show that one mesh responds to fire the other to particle.
The weird thing is that they are all the same mesh, namely meshes\Effects\FXCreekFlatLong01.nif
As far as I can tell the foam parts have the proper flags to be responding to Particles...
SLSF1_External_Emittance, SLSF1_Soft_Effects and SLSF2_Effect_lighting
Anyone with more knowhow care to enlighten me as to why this only works on some of the meshes ?
To find the area simply get to the Mushrom city that I cant recall what is called right now! Then walk to the weird bug transport and it stands in the end of the creek.
Here is an image showing the relative location...

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Hey,
i have a problem with too bright fireplaces. I reinstalled the particle-patch a several times and checked if it's related to my ENB settings. I also tried replacing the textures for fireplaces. Didn't help.
Here are some pics showing what it looks like. Turned down the fire-intensity to 0 so it's more visible:
I apologize if the problem has been solved before but i wasn't able to find a solution.
Cheers!
