How did you manage to get the reds to pop so much? I like it, looks good in a unique way.

Well, my SSD went haywire and corrupted my OS partition, and I lost my recent ENB+CK work as well. Stupidly enough I didn't have backups and had to rollback to a set of really old files, but I've been since trying to get back into the mood and return where I was. It hasn't been as painful as I first expected, as I pretty much remember how things were. I just wish I'd have more time.

^ Abrupt changes in the sky colour don't work all that well, but it's all really preliminary test stuff for now.

Re: TES Skyrim

Mindflux, breaks my heart to hear about your lost work.. I know everything about how that feels. Motivation drops to zero when you have to do alot of work all over again... Are you using climates of tamriel? I tried using it with my enb, but the colors were all wierd and extreme.. Any tips to how to get your enb working with climates? Or do I just have to go through ALL of my settings again to ajust?

Re: TES Skyrim

Thanks sir, appreciate your sympathy. It sure sucks, but it would suck even more to lose work stuff, luckily that's constantly being backed up to Dropbox. Notwithstanding a couple of little tidbits here and there, I managed to more or less get my ENB setup back to where it was, but losing the CK work hurt since it's so tedious to redo and I can't possibly remember everything. I didn't feel like working through the same stuff again right away, so I went in and decided to try to tackle the snowy weathers first... Having quite a bit of difficulties with lighting and bloom, though, so not sure where I'm going.

No, I'm not using COT, my screens are taken with own weather adaptation (ESP) that I'm working on. Sadly I can't help you with COT since I haven't really used it, other than quickly tested the first version and realized pretty much the same thing as you, it's no good with most ENB setups without quite a bit of adaptation. It also looked like it's got some pretty inconsistent stuff into it, which is of course not a miracle considering how large the project scale is, although I guess it's already gotten much more refined. Even so I have no interest in it as I want to have full control (or as much as I can with CK) over everything.

Don't use ssd next time. It's the same crap as crt displays vs lcd, but data corrupted or lost is more important. I don't think that ssd ever be nice enough to be compared to standart hdd. I have many hard drives running entire days many years and without any bad sectors on them. Blah-blah-blah.

@ Mindflux - Your screens are really impressive, especially with your new weather mod!! I currently use COT, but I'm not happy with it. I miss the weather mods of old from Oblivion. Haven't seen anything as impressive as those weather mods in Skyrim yet. But yours show's me hope!

Re: TES Skyrim

I totally agree about SSD. I bought one of the infamous Intel drives when they first came out and it was very unreliable at least as an OS drive, had nothing but weird issues with it. Earlier this year when the prices came down I figured new drives must surely be much more reliable and got an OCZ Agility, but I guess I was wrong, the technology is just not mature. The worst thing about SSD is that it doesn't usually give any kind of warning, just one morning the OS won't boot and everything's gone to bit heaven due to some weird corruption. I still have a couple of old mechanical Seagate drives (from back when they were still good) and they function like there's no tomorrow. Lesson learned, then.

Thanks! To be honest I'm mostly just playing around as I don't have time do a serious weather overhaul. Total overhauls like COT take a lot of time and patience, and I think given some time there will be some really cool stuff around, just like for Oblivion. Hopefully more talented people will eventually pick up the gauntlet and build weather overhaul mods around ENB, because ENB together with a nicely tuned weather mod will shit on everything there's out there right now - and that's no joke :D

Thanks, all's well now and after some painful reinstallation tries (took three times to install Windows 7 to make it work properly, #"$!&%!) I'm back in business again. The rock retexture is AOF Detailed Mountains, I'm too used to it now to even try others.
