Mindflux, you keep improving with every shot. Not to pester, but do you have an ETA for release or are you keeping it a WIP for the foreseeable future?

Re: TES Skyrim

Thanks and yes, I have every intention to release but I sadly can't give you an ETA. I would miss it anyway, I guess... The main thing why it's taking so long is that I want to make the game look like it was originally meant to look like that, and that means I want to see as few immersion-breaking visual glitches as possible. Neither do I want to settle for a preset that only looks good in a certain weather and time of day, gameplay is most imporant. Achieving my goal involves a lot of trial and error, adjusting my ENB preset as well as Skyrim imagespaces and weathers to hit a satisfactory balance, and I'm just one guy with a few hours every evening to spare. I also wasted quite a bit of time while researching a possibility to aim for more realism, but I didn't have the skills to bend the old game tech to that goal, so I abandoned that idea and went back to a kind of fantasy aesthetics.

But like said, no worries, I'm working as fast I can. Thanks for your interest, much appreciated.

Re: TES Skyrim

Hi all. I've not been posting here for quite some months. Boris' new exploits drew me back to the site for a bit. I made the mistake of also looking in this thread a bit, and I must say I was quite overwhelmed by the amount of progress you've all seemed to have been making. Incredible shots and quite different takes on what makes Skyrim look good. Totally exciting stuff.

I came back here to post a couple shots to say thanks to Boris. The latest binary really slapped me silly with enthusiasm, as it radically altered the way I looked at certain things. Thanks for keeping at it, even if at times frustration and boredom might have taken its toll: you've done me a kindness with this new release. I'm hoping some of what you learned or employed will maybe also make its way to the Fallout ENB.

Cheers!

Thank you! And yes, I did share my 119 settings here http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27265 , using it as a base now, although the last set of images are from the 121 , trying to combat the low sky brightness and daytime brightness. 122 needs even more work, as I've switched over to that, abandoning some features I was using via SweetFX, relying on that mostly for smaa, lumasharpen, and vibrance, in small amounts now. I'm trying a realistic/fantasy look, but balancing it is a pain, especially with CoT. Think I need to look away for a bit and play some metroid...... :)

P.S. Mindflux and Midhras Just wow.

eldyraen>>>
Thank you my friend, and congrats with your preset release I am sure it will look just as Great.

pondcypress>>>
Thanks mate.

kalicola>>>
Thank you my friend really glad you enjoying it, that particular preset you quoted pictures from is the experimental one can't share all details (just started adjusting it) but hint is hight bloom with contrast ratio .
I don't think me or any other tweaker here are pros, it's not our job after all and it's just a hobby, for me personally is much more important and enjoyable taking screenshots than constant tweaking. I already have one 0.102v and three 0.117v 100% playable in all conditions presets, just recently added one black&white one and that experimental one too. I specially made different letterboxes for you guys to distinguish them, they are different enb's but the main core is only one .

Saberus>>>
Thanks buddy, for Lunary and ZZjay's epicelfs race I am using noting special but default UNP body mesh and textures.
For other default ingame races I am using CBBE never nude with this texture http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2841
more links you can find at this page viewtopic.php?f=14&t=17&start=5860

MadWolf>>>
The answer is the same as in my reply to Saberus.

dpeasant>>>
Thank you, but I can't use Downsampling method cos I have so much HD textures installed and have so little VRam left to spare . There is just no room for it.
It's just SGSSAAx2 combined with ingame AAx2 (without any Bias adjustment) and nothing more I am using it from the
this game release date, and I think it's the most balanced method to fight Aliasing.
Loving your pics from the last pages.

far327>>>
Hello my friend really glad to see you again :) it's a honor for me to inspire such a talented and great guy like you  much appreciate it.
Yes I updated my preset for quite a while, now using 0.117v, in case if you asked me about dragon texture, it's from official Beth's HD pack.

DogStar>>>
Thanks buddy :) like your last pics too.

ENBSeries>>>
Don't look at me like that :) I am not going to move to any higher than 0.117, 0.119 versions anytime soon :P

Re: TES Skyrim

Gionight: Thanks but was just a wip and currently am trying to fix some of the issues (so I ended up changing everything, or need to still).

Reworking things as the whole fog/mist being near transparent just bothered me to no end, its better now but I have no clue how to fix rain/snow brightness (rain especially as snow is fine but rain is just too hard to see most of the time). Anyone know what effects it (either in enb or in CK)? Think I need to brighten my SL just a little more as would benefit just about everything and then try to balance my sky a little better as well for fog/overcast weathers--hate trying different things as I end up going on a tangent forever (which this was). My enb has no set look... sort of just goes where ever fixes take me and just hope I finish at some point.

Re: TES Skyrim

What is it so special in 0.119 and 0.117 that they are better than 0.122?

Folks, don't afraid to raise up ILAmount if intensities of ambient and direct lighting are not big enough (big means 5-7 and more, when indirect lighting visible). Ssao without ssil isn't good thing.

Re: TES Skyrim

Actually ENBSeries, thanks for that tip as SSAO could be my problem as haven't changed it in ages. Will have to try increasing IL some more as well as other stuff. And I'm using 1.21 atm so need to download newest. Performance boost on 1.21 is significant btw, so great job and thanks a ton ;)
