As for darkening interiors in 119, try increasing AmbientLightingCurveInterior=

I have a question of my own: I used to use this mod--http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9503--that is, Encryption's Exaggerated Depth of Field, but for some reason it stopped working with later enbs and I don't know why. I actually prefer the static DOF like this mod to autofocus DOF .... Can anyone tell me how to get distant and near distant static DOF with enb?
EDIT: :shock:
http://www.geforce.com/optimize/guides/ ... ven-better
I had a setting wrong here. Now I am getting 60FPS on 119! Up almost 40FPS in some places.

Typed out a long reply, and then lost it due to the forum logging me off :roll:
I set my AA Transparency to 8 today, some improvement. Still have some line tracing around the outside of objects when there is a light behind them...going to try to blur some things more with ENB and sharpen them with SweetFX

That mod is only changing something in your skyrim.ini or skyrimprefs.ini file.

To enable DOF in ENB, make sure this is set to true in the enbseries.ini file:

Code: Select all

[EFFECT]
UseOriginalPostProcessing=false
EnableBloom=true
EnableAdaptation=true
EnableAmbientOcclusion=false
EnableDepthOfField=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false
EnableDetailedShadow=true
EnableSunRays=true
EnableSkyLighting=true
I use the enbeffectprepass.fx file from:
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23765
Line 50 of the file will enable you to set manual DOF, and you can change the focus and aperture with 9 and 0 with PG DN and PG UP.

Re: TES Skyrim

So I started messing with enbeffect and upped the saturation and other things.

Regarding the vanilla depth of field effect, any specific presets you're having issues with? Have you recently started using COT or any other weather mod? I don't think ENB as such has an effect on the vanilla DOF, but since the DOF settings are set in the image space settings, chances are that any weather mods loaded after Exaggerated Depth of Field will overwrite the settings, possibly disabling DOF. Also make sure bDoDepthOfField is set to 1 in SkyrimPrefs.ini.

Re: TES Skyrim

@XenoKratios- Sure, I'd be happy to try em out and give you some feedback.

Does anyone know what mostly causes water to glow at night? Certain configs don't seem to have it, like The Wilds which is the config I pretty much use as a reference because it seems practically perfect to me. But I want my config to look less dreamy. Looking at the code from The Wilds but I still can't seem to figure out why my water glows in the dark like many other enb's and why The Wilds and some others do not.

Couple more on my journey towards better distant terrain.
Added Chromatic abberation to whole scene, sharpened dramatically, added some film grain, added illuminated tree lod, lowered exposure contrast, increased exposure for brighter days,

Re: TES Skyrim

Who uses colorcorrection and adaption?

Some of the light looks wrong to me if I turn adaption off, like in this room. The light from the ceiling is incorrect depending on where I look at it from (it is missing on some of the chandeliers). I have been trying to increase all of the different light types so that they work together in a room, but it doesn't seem to have continuity between rooms.

Do I need a 'light' mod? Something like this? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7654

Recommendations?

Re: TES Skyrim

Joey4track: looks awesome... About the waterfalls. Waterfall and some particles are not affected by ambient or direct lighting. So to darken waterfalls you have to darken everything in the enbeffect.ini. Either by bringing down brightness, or make the adaptation stronger. This darkens everything, also waterfalls. And the you have to bring up everthing again in the enbseries.ini. Ambient, direct lighing, sky, fire, bloom, volume fog. Everything.. It's alot work to get look back, but it's the only way I know of.. I have done it before, and it's a pain in the ass, but it works.

Re: TES Skyrim

Simpler to edit waterfalls material to make it's alpha blending (src, dest) correct, not additive one, so the mod will not count it as [FIRE]
