Re: TES Skyrim

Sticking with a very natural ENB. Adapt flawlessly with CoT and respect the vanilla feeling.

Re: TES Skyrim

Not really certain what this grass does that the mods used in the screen shots don't do already. But, for anyone interested.

Re: TES Skyrim

Boris: Love the new UI--makes things much, much easier and faster.

Dropped cot, went back to using Opethfeldt's RL+ijFX settings for my own ENB settings (using Matso's Invisio ENB code still) as just liked the look and less inconsistency when it comes to weather types. Managing to make it look as good/better than with cot (minus some of the cooler effects I really liked--clouds, sun, etc) so I'm happy enough.

Re: TES Skyrim

I'm new to the forums, so I have to say huge thanks to Boris for creating such an awesome graphics mod for all Skyrim users.

Alright, I thought I would like to post my first screenshot on here. It's not much but it's powerful and probably my best one at the moment.
Enjoy!

Re: TES Skyrim

Installed the new lighting mod recommended on the last page. Lights look much better. Is there a light mod that will make shadows from fire? Every fire source I walk by, I create no shadows...maybe there is something in the INI file I turned off/on accidently?

Re: TES Skyrim

@Chan

There is a command you can put in the skyrimprefs.ini file;

bEquippedTorchesCastShadows=1

But I think it won't do anything because the light is an omnidirectional light only, not a Shadow omnidirectional. So you need to go in the CK and change that so you can have torches cast shadows.

But if you are using a lighting mod like Enhanced Lights and FX, Relighting Skyrim, OLSE etc. Most modders are adding 4 shadow lights to some places and that is the limit of shadow lights the "Skyrim" engine can render at a time. And if any one is interested the max non-shadow lights is 7 + the lights emitting from your hands when carrying a spell/spells or a torch.

Therefore I myself think that the torches and spells should stay non-shadow lights for that reason.

Re: TES Skyrim

Hey --JawZ--

Love your lighting mod! Is your lighting mod for ENB and Enhanced Lights and FX compatible?

EDIT - Some new shots. Nothing real special i just had some wow moments when viewing NPCs etc...

@Jawz

Also try this, although you'll have to turn grass shadows off:

Also, I'm having a weird lighting problem, it might have to do with specularity:

Re: TES Skyrim

@far327

Which one ;) Have two now, OLSE and Relighting Skyrim - Dawnguard Edition.

Both my lighting mods are meant for a balanced and neutral all around experience (Not super bright lights in just a couple of locations that destroys your setup :roll: )So yes they are ENB compatable, but OLSE is not compatable with Enhanced lights and FX as I have made some changes in the same cells. But I could make a compatability patch quick and easy though by removing my edits in the same cell as Enhanced Lights and FX has done edits to. Then you would just load OLSE before Enhanced lights and FX ;)

If you want that is, I have covered alot more than what anamorfus has with his mod but he started with focusing on all the things I would eventually do. But I choose to start correcting vanilla lights and then I would move on and do what anamorfus has done.

Amwesome pictures, really like the picture of the most annoying NPC in the Skyrim world :P Real nice SSAO effect and good balanced contrast and brightness hich makes the image real "crispy" looking. SMAA or SweetFX aswell perhaps?

@Arobotperson1

It was Chan that asked if someone knew of a way to add shadow lights to torches not me ;) I see someone has done what I mentioned and went into the CK and replaced the non-shadow omnidirectional light to a shadow one.

Well Chan there you have it, download and test it out and see how it works out for you :)

Looks like it's the DoF causing it or atleast a combination of DoF and the specularity settings. Maybe i'm unsure though.
