Gorgeous shots, but really highlights how annoying it is that the door to the Blue Palace doesn't shadow properly =PZyrusticae wrote:

Probably speclar properties on that door causing problems.
Playing with settings today, working colors...

Think I have them close...for now SSAO has been giving me big problems. Sometimes it looks good, but other times it is everywhere and too much.

I also need to know this! Please share the knowledge!Tywele wrote:mindflux what face textures are you using?
I've finally decided to replay this game. After installing the game fresh, I already have 102 mods installed and still need better textures here and there I'm using TV's ENB... but I've already butchered it to the point where you can't call it that anymore. Sorry Trill

Thanks! I switched focus for now and went back to tweaking the interiors. The new SSAO exterior/interior separation Boris implemented works just wonders in nailing the lighting. I feel your pain regarding the SSAO, when aiming for realistic lighting it feels like you can never have too much control. That said, I think you can still come up with very belieable lighting with careful balancing of AO, IL and bloom.

Fixed for your convenience, simply place the attached files in the Data folder

No worries guys, I just need to check my files because I like to mix and match the textures. I can already tell that the normal map is from the brilliant High-Res Female Nord Skin by nuska, thanks to far327 for mentioning it. Not sure about the diffuse, but I'll check.
Thanks jim2point0, really good to see new shots from you finally, it was about the time. Looks damn good as well, I like how dark and moody your style looks without being dull and colorless. But you're not fooling me, I can still tell it's TV ENB that you've mangled up

Re: TES Skyrim
Mindflux, what code do you use in your enbeffect.fx file? Is it HD6?
I remember you were trying to keep as many vanilla aspects as possible (color, adaptation, etc) and using the ENB to enhance instead of change these values. How is that going?
Started playing with adaptation today, but I don't really understand the values. My enbeffect.fx file is an edited version of this:
http://code.google.com/p/mole-studios-p ... t.fx?r=370
I like that 'day' and 'night' setting are separate, and I am trying to use adaptation as the trigger for the switch between two. I think this is the best way to make it work with CoT weather systems.

Re: TES Skyrim
Just out of curiousity...I'm getting pretty frustrated with hair/eyebrow colours, particularly with ENB on. I love everything else about ENB, can't play without it...but I just can't get the hair to not look overly plastic or washed out. Most, the hair colour just gets washed out...I can't keep a really dark hair colour...and the beard/eyebrows always have grey in them. This is happening pretty much any ENB preset I try. My screenies here are an example (note...the problem remains regardless of indoor, outdoor, intense lights, whatever...).
I've seen screenies here from other people who don't seem to have this problem...do you fix this problem through particular hair mods, or are you tweaking your ENB for it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!

It's pretty great in motion. I'm still working on the settings (particularly for interiors), but my nights currently look like this:nautz wrote:@Zyrusticae
Looks really nice! I love that vibrant look, how is it in motion, and how is it during the night? I've gotten a somewhat similar look to yours (only more blurry and more bloom unfortunately) but the night is what I'm having the most trouble with.

Thanks for the Blue Palace door fix, Mindflux!
