Request: Everquest

Hello

I play Everquest 1 and am having some trouble figuring out whether ENB is running or not, can anyone help? Is it incompatible?

Thank you

Chris

Re: Request: Everquest

If start message appear in the left top corner, then it's active and you just need to test almost all versions which will fit the best to the game

Thank you for responding, it's not active. Any idea which version I should use or what might be wrong?

Re: Request: Everquest

Don't know, if the game is dx8, try convertor or v004/005 for gta3/vice city.

Re: Request: Everquest

The game is DX9.

I think the problem might be that the d3d9.dll file is actually named "EQGraphicsDX9.dll" in the Everquest folder? So when I replace it, it doesn't work...

Definetly it's not.
I don't know anything about this game. May be it have other folders for dll files, like system or bin, place mod there.

Re: Request: Everquest

Hi, is this discussion about EverQuest in it's original Direct X form, or the revised current version?
The old one was 6.1 if I remember correctly.

Do any ENB converters go back that far?

Re: Request: Everquest

As nobody reply, i will. Don't know anything about EverQuest and guess topic starter will not visit this place, so only you can find the answer.

Re: Request: Everquest

I doubt it matters if the topic starts will come back, there are plenty of people - I can find at least eight hundred or more whom would be ecstatic to see old EQ get an ENB facelift.
Nice of you to respond though I can tell you that it is at least DX 6 or DX 7. I wasn't aware ENB goes back any further than DX 8 through conversion.

Having said that, have you considered working on older variants?

Re: Request: Everquest

Last time i worked with dx7 graphics is 2000 or 2001, don't remember anything, but convertor require very strong knowledge, so it's takes a lot of time and i don't know any game which personally interested to motivate myself enough.
