Re: TES Skyrim 0.139

Phinix
Is there a whole new method detecting day/night now? If so how can it be referenced in enbeffect.fx? What is the object name?
No, everything is the same, except color value for reading day/night was used from background clear color and now from sky hemisphere horizon color, all other math is same. These two colors in vanilla game without mods are very close to each other, so only values between max and min are different and this is contrast variable under [DAYNIGHT]. Use GUI statistics to see result of interpolator and input variable of sky color (by default tweaked for vanilla game).
Is there an EInteriorNightDayFactor now?
Variables in enbeffect.fx are the same as before, no changes.
If so did it replace the old EInteriorFactor?
How this depends from previous? Damn, read my comments in enbeffect.fx

Code: Select all

//changes 0 or 1. 0 means that exterior, 1 - interior
float	EInteriorFactor;
This in older version was buggy inverted (0 interior, 1 exterior), nothing else!!!

chan
Backspace button does nothing, load button in GUI does nothing. It is as if the enbeffect.fx file is not being read after the game loads.
Then you changed key mapping of it in config.

Code: Select all

[INPUT]
//back
KeyReadConfig=8
Allana
I happened to find which setting affects the loading screens
Will be fixed in next update.

Aren't you all reading what i write in description or what? I'll not write anything then if nobody need it.
This is not true, they do not look the same. The only difference is now I'm using a different enbseries version, and look at the results in the middle of daytime:

This was not happening with 0.136 version, and I see nothing is mentioned in your description about the middle of daytime, but I do not have the old DLL so I'm stuck with very dark days

Re: TES Skyrim 0.139

Try tweaking the detector curve and levels under [NIGHTDAY]. It's also possible that there's a bug in enbeffect.fx that didn't show up with the previous versions.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.139

Those who testing with NVidia drivers 306-310, will be ignored, saw many times that code changes cannot affect any bugs at all, but users complain.
Also it should be mentioned those drivers are release version now, not beta anymore.

Also the only drivers available for download now are 306-310. You mentioned if they go in to release you would look in to the problems, just letting you know.

Thanks, I get it now. I've made the v0.121212 the benchmark version for my current PNENB, while I work on adapting my v0.138 settings (which looked awesome) to the new v0.139. I think it might be something with the HD6 shader in enbeffect.fx not detecting properly that is causing the nights to look washed out and days too bright for me, so I'll be looking into that best I can.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.139

Борис, возможно ли сделать Adaptation отдельно для дня/ночи? :idea:

Instead of complaining about how different things look compared to older versions, why don't you just fix it yourself? We have an in-game GUI editor for this now. Just be sure to pause the game (I use the console command (~) so that I can still see the full result above the console window) then use SHIFT+ENTER to start tweaking the file to the way you like it.

Also, that looks like your SSAO is possibly set too strong, maybe tune it down a bit. Or it could be the ambient lighting, so turn it up / turn down the lightingcurve. Looks like the SSAO more than the Ambient lighting.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.139

Agree with DaemonWhite. It is normal that you may tweak your ini file after updating the .dll file.
Just shift+enter and patience. As Daemonwhite has said too, try first activating/deactivating SSAO and ambientlighting, just for seeing if the problem is that.

BTW, I want to say that this version is really awesome. No bugs (so far), the new aa is frankly impressive. Now with the day/night interior settings, I have for example nightly windows and daily windows. I love it. AND I could swear that my fps have raised!

Thx!!!

I don't want to comment stupid things you said.

Okay, i'll better leave, everybody stay with their own opinion and won't listen, no sense to reply.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.139

Boris, the backspace works sometimes, and then after moving to another location or after long time changes, it has no function.
Load 136, works fine. Latest nVidia drivers.
