Re: TES Skyrim
i posted this before but no one seemed to see it so im trying again:
nice ones majk360.
i especially like the troll one and the last one (the snowy forest).
Question to the savy guys -
i want to import some effects from one ENB to another.
some ENBs have a lovely glow effect around extra bright surfaces and light sources (very noticeable in KALICOLA's and OYAMA's gorgeous ENBs). the effect causes color to bleed to it's surrounding, overlapping objects that are even closer to the camera that the bright object. this kind of bloom is rare in ENBs but i wonder - in what file is this effect written?
i tried simply copying over enbeffect.fx and enbbloom.fx but nothing. all i got was an added glare from bright objects onto the "lens", which isnt what i am looking for.
i thought maybe it's one of the sweetFX files that some ENBs have, but which one, if at all?
and same question regarding SSAO. in the later ENBs (mostly after v119) the SSAO is different. it's no longer creating dark areas where two objects come close to each other. it just darkens the edges of planes that touch other planes.
@Oyama - damn you, sir. you have quit an eye for this stuff. your composition, colors and good choices of FOV truly do justice to your ENB.
@Propa - nice screens. i like the over exposed nature of your ENB. i hope you will release it soon.
one thing though - maybe you want to try and make sure the skies are not too desaturated compared to the ground. if the far mountains are slightly blue than the sky should be equally saturated (and slightly brighter. the sky is ALWAYS brighter than the horizon mountains).
just a little input from an illustrator, if you dont mind it.

There are some stunners, that's for sure.Unreal Warfare wrote:Some nice screens so far everyone.
A few using a slightly fiddled with TV_ENB muted cinema variation...

Re: TES Skyrim
Somebody asked me about low performance with many grass blades (overhaul mod?), i have an idea, it's probably because of subsurface scattering, i did optimization for it in 0.129 beta as remember and in latest one or two versions removed it because of Krista request. If somebody can check if i'm right, let me know.

Agreed, really cool shot. Love the dark, moody style in the others as well.

Re: TES Skyrim
Glorious Grasses is a mod that vastly increases the amount of grass you have on screen, and apparently the performance hit is only intensive if you have grass shadows enabled. So as far as I'm aware, it's Skyrim's shadow system that kills it.ENBSeries wrote:Somebody asked me about low performance with many grass blades (overhaul mod?), i have an idea, it's probably because of subsurface scattering, i did optimization for it in 0.129 beta as remember and in latest one or two versions removed it because of Krista request. Without grass shadows, it's a minor performance hit. With grass shadows... ouch.

Re: TES Skyrim
Tried running downsampled from 2560 x 1440. Got 10fps. I need a new card.
