I still have a few bugs to squash, however. Firstly, How do I change how bright the water is at night time? It's glowing 24/7. Also, is there a mod to make the smoke from fires and chimneys not lit? Those are pretty bright at night as well...

@spazznid: For the smokes you just have to use version 0.143 or newer and adjust the [particle] settings

Confidence-man, more than IL, I'd say the palette is very important for that, a pain to edit when using windowed mode btw.
What rock did you fix? the rock wall texture in the second pic?, looks very good.
