As for the filter quality, more filtering passes means better quality. The value isn't reflective of the number of passes.

Hm? The guide says the higher the number, the worse the quality. Ie: 2 is fastest, -1 is highest quality

What is? Like I said, the value has no relation to the number of passes. So, -1 has the most passes, best quality and worst performance.
