I recently discovered a beautiful thing called "Dolphin". It means that I can play my old favorite Nintendo games on my pc in glorious HD. Of course I instantly started experimenting with enb and sweetfx. Here is my result on Wind Waker, using sweetfx and enb for the bloom. The vanilla game looks awesome in 1080p, but with these graphics enhancements it looks even better.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Nice work!
While I've never enjoyed the Zelda series, I AM interested in this "Dolphin" thing. I suppose it's an emulator...
Does it work? I mean does it really, really work? I thought Metroid was awesome on Gamecube and would love to play in HD.
Tried the PS2 emulator just to play Shadow of the Colossus (what a fucking amazing game btw) but the emu was pretty inconvenient to set up and the gameplay stuttered here and there...

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Kali, can you PLEASE send me your sweetfx and enb settings. It's so weird that you mention this now because only yesterday did I start using the dolphin and I too tried to get sweetfx to work with Wind Waker! So weird. But I couldn't get it to work at all. Where did you place the .dll?
Also, which enb .dll should I download to use for this game?

Arobotperson1: To be honest I dont think AO would fit wind waker. But maybe
Evok99: I will upload it next time I'm on my PC. Yes it really really works perfect, but it can take some time to setup right, like I had to lock fps at 30 otherwise the sound would play too slow or too fast. But you can setup the controller and all perfectly. I using an xbox controller and it works like a charm. You have to setup buttons and so on, but once everything is setup, you just load a game and play, in 1080p works magic for games like wind waker
About sweetfx and enb. You HAVE to install the 32bit version of dolphin and directx 9 to make enb work.
To have enb and sweetfx working together I had to copy/paste some things from my skyrim config, cause I couldn't get it to work by renaming the d3d9 file.
Anyways, i used the half life 2 or deus ex enb. But only bloom works, as far as I know. But enb bloom is much better than the broken sweetfx bloom..
Will upload tomorrow

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
I tried the 0.151 Skyrim .dll and that did not work, I also tried the Half-life 2 0.075 dll and that didn't work.
I am using the 32 bit version of Dolphin and the game looks great. But I cannot get enb to work.
When I load the game, it says it's working in the top left corner, but I don't see any effect from bloom.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Dolphin is OpenGL right? How do you get that to work with enb?
Also, there is a free cam function in OpenGL, but don't ask me how this works as I've never used it. Anthemios knows. Google it.
Now if only you could easily remove HUDs... but that takes meticulous use of texmod, if it can be done at all.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
I almost always use my 360 controller whenever I'm gaming on my PC.
Can't think of Skyrim without my 360 controller...
Do the Gamecube discs fit in a regular DVD drive? Or do I need images?

They fit in a regular dvd drive. You are going to want to make an image though, it will run a lot faster.

It was OpenGL, many latest emulators have DirectX compatibility now.. Including Dolphin. You can render the games at 4k resolution with Dolphin toomidhras wrote:Dolphin is OpenGL right? How do you get that to work with enb?

Another great emu is PCSX2 which is also compatible with DirectX.
Here is the end all be all resource for up to date emulator info...

Personally I LOVE the arcade emulators such as DEMUL, MAKARON, TAITO X2, NULLDC, PCSX2.
Check out HYPERSPIN for a beautiful front end GUI.
That is about all you need to know about emulators kids
BTW - I have a HUGE collection of emulators including pretty much all the arcade roms listed for the emulators above... ATOMISWAVE games NAOMI, CPS2 etc...
PM me if you would like an upload of roms etc...
