Re: TES Skyrim

@ saltr

Great look you have acheived with pp 1 :) Nice neutral/natural colors and brightness to the exteriors.

Though maybe just a hint too saturated in the two last pictures, for me atleast.

@ open question

If I could get some input from my feloow ENB tweakers and what not ;)

I'm reworking my ENB Weather extended mod and implementing it to RLwC - Improved Vanilla/RLwC - IV (Formerly known as ERL) and I just want some input on the look of how the colors are done and if the new colors is looking ok.

I have not tweaked my ENB settings for these new effects and I lost my settings when I did the Sky troubleshooting introduced in ENB v0.152 and 0.153 earlier today  So had to revert to my 0.152 settings. Every effect activated except for DoF in the pictures below.

Re: TES Skyrim

It's easier to see the differences if you have them in seperate windows to be able to jump between them.

The things to look at are the shadow parts (the small "roofs" for example) and the sun light which covers everything but the shadows.

Boris default file have more intense blue in the shadows and my sun light have a more yellowish tone to it. I myself thought the sun lights where a bit to white looking. Still not satisfied with sun light coloring though.

Anyways thanks for your input Lauren :)

Re: TES Skyrim

Wow, so many good shots/configs lately. And so few releases

I've been tweaking enb since 0.99 and I don't think I've ever made a config that I am happy with or that I stick with. Almost all the pics I upload are always with a constant changing config and there is never any consistency. We all know there is no 'perfect' config, but when do you say 'I'm done'..?

EDIT: @JawZ- I'll be honest, I don't really see any major differences in any of those 3 pics. Maybe I am missing something?

Re: TES Skyrim

--JawZ-- thanks.

RLwC - IV with new EWE implemented + ENB has just a little more yellow light than a Boris default but it is very hard to see a difference when look at each picture separately.

Re: TES Skyrim

As I mention in my previous post, my ENB Preset was not configured for those effects, and it was in an area with not much shadows to look at. Will relocate and take some new pictures where the efects are more distinguishable.

@ joey4track

I know what you mean with never settling down with your settings, and the constant updates and additions done by Boris makes it even harder to stay satisfied with the settings :P

Nice capture of the first picture and I really like how your enb looks in the Daedric giant and dragon battle images.

@ saltr

Nice lighting in the first picture, guess it is a clear or light clody weather you took that shoot in? The others have a nice ambient lighting applied to them :)

EDIT;

Maybe now you can see the effects more clearly - imgur gallery

I also added a bit more blue to the sun light and specular and z+ of the Directional Ambient/shadow coloring.

Chrome seems to have a problem displaying the images in the above bar so use Internet Explorer or Firefox to view the gallery without any problems.

Re: TES Skyrim

far327: I like those pics, especially the one at night. I want to get my nights like that :)

--JawZ--: It was hard for me to see much of a difference in those pics.

joey4track: Very nice pics :)

I've been doing a little more tweaking. Most of my pics have characters in them. That's something I like and so my tweaking begins there.

Image

I keep running into these Necromancers. I don't know what I did to my game but I have some enemies set as essential. They are not important to quests at all.

Image

One thing I hate is the ice spikes or icy spears. Don't like the textures or the way they look. A character can be fighting with like 3 of these things in them. Looks kind of silly, and wouldn't that be like instant death.

Well on the bright side, it was just an ice spike to the shoulder. It could have been an arrow to the knee

Image

Although I do like it when the frost spells hit a character

Image

She's going to need that healing spell...the arm and leg don't look to well. Actually when I get tired of fighting these enemies that are set as essential, I usually just turned them into vampires and then they are on my side :)

Re: TES Skyrim

@joey4track - It's a beautiful config! You should be satisfied with that I would think :) Of course, I'm like you. I am constantly changing my config back and forth. A lot just has to do with what I'm in the mood for that week. Sometimes I prefer more cinematic moody configs. Other times, the vibrant ones with great lighting effects. It's always a toss up.

@saltr - That shot with the barrell and mugs! Looks real to me!

@symphonicjohn - Thank you! And your config is spectacular! Do you plan to share it? I would certainly like to try it out. I'm not very good at configuring nights either. But I can say that playing with Ambient lighting and direct lighting are probably the largest factors. try out bloom helps. And a good nebula / milky way replacer helps. Try to find one that mimics the color of light glow you would like to see on the ground and in the atmosphere. I believe lighting for the sky / nebula / milkyway etc also effects the lighting overall for your nights. Or at least it seems that way to me.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5363 - A bluish nebula. I'm sure their are better ones out there though.

Re: TES Skyrim

@ symphonicjohn

even in the pictures at the imgur gallery? if so your monitor really needs to be calibrated if that is the case.

EDIT;

Sydney666 denied permission to release my RLwC version so there will only be an update to ENB Weather Extended in the future.
