Re: TES Skyrim

@Rubber-De-Flubber: looks great. I also added the bark textures but I haven't looked at them yet, still working on interiors. I will tweak in an inn until I think it's right, and then go in a cave and that doesn't look so good :(

I don't think that's Confidence-Man's texture, did you put the stuff into the correct folder (textures/landscape/trees)?

Confidence-Man
Thanks for sharing, really cool. I'll try to get some shots later as well. I agree about the normal map, I also prefer the subtle one you're gone with, looks nice and natural to me. More intense normal map would most likely just look off when generated from a texture.

Yeah, and he doesn't even have an arrow in the knee :P Actually it's a bandit looking down at me, I thought he looked pretty cool.

Thanks, always great to see your screenshots as well!

Yeah, still around :D Thanks, love the realistic vibe you're going for with your new preset, tempted to give it a spin myself too

@Mindflux

Yeah, I did. Lemme go compare what I'm getting to his screenshots. :P

Edit: I think I'm looking at the wrong kind of tree anyways, now I just feel silly. :P

Hmm, all the pine trees use the same texture in vanilla (of course excluding the snowy variations) - I guess it's must be Trees HD that's messing it up for you. Try look from the file names how the texture files should be named, could be as simple as treepineforestbarkcomp1.dds, treepineforestbarkcomp2.dds, etc. Then make copies of Confidence-Man's files and rename them appropriately.

Here's that specific tree with Confidence-Man's new textures, looks damn great:

Re: TES Skyrim

Keep teasing us with your config Mindflux, still looking forward to a release!

Looks good everybody! Lot's of different styles, all of which look great in their own way. Its going to be tough to choose indeed!

A couple from my forever-WIP-config (PP4+). Started a new game and character; playing with Requiem. Also trying out the new Mature Skin for UNP mod.

Thanks, glad you like my lighting - I guess you can most likely see some Opeth influence in the style, I couldn't help but be very impressed by his recent endeavors. I've had a lot of catch-up to do since I was on a 0.12x binary for a long time, but I'm enjoying every bit of it. Especially IBL is godsent, no question that Boris is a damn genius. I've still got a long way to go, though, as my interiors are totally broken.

Hehe, I think I need someone to come over and fix the rest of the weathers for me  Great to see you're still working on your preset, looks very promising. Have you come up with some interesting new tricks lately? Like I think I already mentioned to you I'm mostly rolling with a pretty stock shader setup nowadays (still using some color correction, bloom and adaptation tweaks though), I've found that I can get more done when I know every bit that's going on in the files. A bare-bones-approach then, if you will.

Sounds like I am taking the opposite approach and keep adding and re-factoring my code all the time, lol. I know I am enjoying tweaking more than the game, still searching for the elusive ... something. And sorry but I gave up on weathers (at least for now). Frankly, they drove me nuts.

One more for the road.
