Hey mindflux I just wanted to point out that if you've ever actually seen sulfer springs in real life they are as shiny as in the "Original" screenshot on the first post. This is because the unusually smooth sediment face and the fact that there is constantly a thin layer of water running over them.
I know it's a matter of preference for some (as myself so I removed the "volcanic" files for my own usage) but I just thought I'd point that out.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Maybe with the vanilla look they were ok but some presets are using high values that will/would make those mineral pools more or less white. And every file here is optional but some are recommended to use no matter what ENB Preset you are running and some are "labeled" and put in the optional folder for the end user to choose if he wants for example the less shiny mineral pools.
So in that case I don't think mindflux was trying to get a look that would make it more realistic just more user friendly

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
hey not sure if this is a problem caused by incorrect shaders or not but it seems like it to me, at night when it snows the flakes dont seem to have any kind of lighting effects applied to them and are way too bright.
and in nordic ruins there is dust floating around that seem to have the same problem as the snowflakes, the particles ive circled
when im wandering skyrim at night i almost have to stop and wait when it starts snowing because its so hard to see where im going that it hurts my eyes.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
It's game issue, additive blending for some types of snow. I saw it first time in location where some priests go outside with me to teach how to run fast or something like that (it's savegame by one user, not played myself).

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
What Boris said. The snow is actually comprised of two separate effects, the first is a proper particle effect and the second one looks like it's a camera overlay done in the CK. I haven't taken a look at the CK how the camera attached effect is done, but I guess it shouldn't be too difficult to fix. I was actually going to remove the camera effect completely and replace it with a proper particle effect, but I just haven't gotten around to do it.
In which ruins did you come across that particular dust particle effect? I've already fixed some of them, but sadly the rest have been in the back burner for quite some time now due to lack to time.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Boris thanks for clearing that up for me ive been wondering about that since i started using ENB in Skyrim.
mindflux, if you could fix that it would be awsome im going for realism in my ENB and that is totally killing my night experience.
as for the dust particles i think that screenshot was in Bleak Falls Barrow but im not 100 percent. I have noticed it in other ruins but cannot remember which ones offhand, ive been installing/uninstalling alot of mods lately and have started a few profiles i will check it out and let you know. also i have noticed a few sconces in high Hrothgar that do not have the correct shaders applied to them
and the firepit on the stairwell
and thanks for all youve corrected already, it makes a huge difference in the gameplay experience

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
I hope it's OK to post this here. Does anyone know what might be causing these problems? The grass and moss only seem to get blackened/blued at certain times of day or during certain weather (snow?). They went back to their normal color after the snow stopped and it became brighter. What could be causing the blue/green tint on the water? I'm also unable to see clearly underwater but that's not a big deal, if it's even related...I'm quite new to all this :/ I haven't tried another ENB yet because these 2 things are my only problems.
Using poloENB (that I found in this forum ), ENB particle fix + WATER fix, Skyrim Visual Immersion 1s prepass.fx, and Simply Darker Dungeons.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you found the mod useful. I will check the dust particles at Bleak Barrow.
Regarding the sconces in High Hrothgar, I think you're using a messed up texture or mesh replacer for the sconces - I just checked with 100% vanilla Skyrim + my patch, and the sconces have correct shaders applied to them and look perfectly normal. Judging by the screenshots it looks like there's a some kind of alpha issue going on.

No worries about posting here, I don't mind.
Are you using any sort of a weather overhaul such as COT? Dark black or otherwise weirdly colored grass is most likely caused by inappropriate ambient color set for the corresponding weather in the CK, but if you're not using any weather modifiers the issue is probably caused by the night settings (values interpolated from day and night settings are used for stormy weathers) of ENB, perhaps too high curve for ambient and direct lighting or both. Maybe try tweaking and see what happens.
As for the water, the color is mostly affected by water and fog colors in the CK, but the transparency issue looks odd. What ENB binary are you using?

Mindflux:
I'm using PoloENB with Visual Immersions enbeffectprepass.fx. I did have CoT+RLO and ELnFX installed at different points but I removed them all before I started using this ENB, there's nothing left that I'm aware of. The only things having to do with lighting/fx are Simply Darker Dungeons and Revamped Ext Fog, but I don't think either of those should be a problem...
I suppose there could be something left over from uninstalling/reinstalling those lighting and weather mods. If that's the case I'll probably just deal with it because I really can't do a reinstall right now. I'll try another ENB later on today and see if it makes a difference.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Alright so i tried another embers texture and it helped, it didnt totally fix it tho so i tried removing all of the textures/meshes that they added and im still having a problem
not as bad as it was but its got like a reflective sheen to it you can see it best in the pic of the blacksmith forge do you have any idea what would be causing this or if there is a texture or mesh effect that is applied to all of these objects in game. i know my game is heavily modded and you dont know what ive done but any suggestion would be great. if nothing else ill just deal with it. also i had a question about your compatibility patch for W.A.T.E.R, are the files in the patch the same as the original mod or did you fix something in them?
