I informed Sydney of light flickering when I was testing out RLO to give him some of my feedback on RLO and his response was;
In my ears that is a restriction to tell users not to use something in the game in certain areas. He did however talk about making sure torches was safe to use in dungeons. But still not doing the same for regular interiors which you visit more frequently is not something I would and will do even if my lighting would do as he says;In addition to this, our team deliberated about the "testing with torches out" for quite some time and it was just too much work for us to keep our art style and test for torches out inside major city interiors. Instead we discussed about making most of the areas BRIGHT enough to not need a torch
However I won't be removing all the lights just to stop torch flickering because that is a very unrealistic goal for an overhaul mod and its basically a very bad limitation of the engine. If i were to do that, nothing would set RLO apart from every other lighting mod and vanilla.
Thanks a lot.
That would be great to see some sets of pictures from you Far
