Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB

Yeah those clouds is truly something, but other than the clouds CoT is not really that special. Remove those and you'll have ULTRA REALISTIC WORLD LIGHTING more or less, in my own opinion and experience. Not saying that my weathers are more special than CoT would be without clouds though.

Here is a sunset from one of my latest improvements and additions

This is the weather 10a237 during 6:30 PM, try out the vanilla one and see the difference. vanilla is totally red in the sky.

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB

Looks different not bad but different and yeah the cloud textures really add something to COT :)

Here is some slightly different Ambient Light Approach im experimenting with especially to get better results like in this shoot in full shadow :)

Though Material Rendering is hardly recoverable in this Situation as all textures go very dull without any light hitting them :(

First reaction the Armor Metal Parts look like Stone not like Metal :(

Mandalune:

Here are how the new Day skies will look more like all around, slight differences depending on type of weather of course.

It's just one weather sunset ;) Here is a good reference picture of what I tried to capture - http://hdwallpapers4free.com/wallpaper/ ... -28899.jpg

Seems to me that you need to configure your specular a bit better based on the current over all lighting.

Increase the SpecularAmountMultiplier and decrease the SpecularPowerMultiplier which will spread the specular a bit on the surfaces. I usually start with the Multiplier at 1.0 and adjust the spread with the Power setting and finally I blend in the new spreaded specular with the Multiplier setting.

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB

Wow thx --JawZ--

Specular Amount has no big effect but Specular Power decrease has a major effect even in the shadow i need to tune it now though for the Metal to work it's not really enough :)

Specular Amount 1.00

Specular Power 1.00

Image

Specular Amount 1.00

Specular Power 0.00

Yes now i can make the current Scenes Specular Maps visible and so better tune reflections, lot of thanks JawZ logic wise i wouldn't have thought that decreasing would increase the Specular or even make it visible @ all first :)
Really strange behavior i mean Power is something like strength isn't it and moving it to 0 to get an effect feels strange i wonder what boris thought about this feels definitely not logic in the GUI.

Ok, now I'm sure I will never finish the main quest.
I will be too occupied watching above me :D

Thanks for this bluetiful sky Mister --JawZ--.

You're most welcome :)

I saw that you already got your answer from Mindflux and Boris on power question ;)

Mandelune:

Such a response even from a picture really glads me to hear :) Will try to have the new weather changes uploaded for testing soon enough.

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB

OK.
I never thought I would use any lighting / modifier again, but considering the *balanced* aspect of your work, I'll give this a go.
One thing : if I ever love it (99% chances), just prepare yourself for a PMs shower !
No luck already, I just voted for all modules...

A quick question about rain : do you advice vanilla's or ENB's raindrops ? What fits best with ELE ?

... and I *WANT* these sun textures / effects / effects ! :D :D

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB

Glad you like the work I put in so far, and I do try to make it balanced yet unique "details" in each weather. can't really say that each weather will be unique a part from the sky but I do work with the sky to determine the colors of everything else in the weather.
I'm ready with a pot of coffee right next to me
The light Bulbs module will be the one that takes the longest, yet another reason I want as much compatibility with other mods ;)

I have yet to "dig that deep" into my weather adjustments yet so really don't know how my changes are behaving with ENB Rain. But it looked looked ok the few minutes I played with it. Will be sure to do some more testing of that once I start implementing Mindflux Snow FX I'll start digging deeper into each effect to see what can be done to improve them without touching a ENB Setting.

I will see if I can have a test file of the new sunsprite ready soon. It will be like the sunsprite .tga you had in K ENB, a corona and lenses. Which I have already done some additions too, more code and more splitting :P
