Nice shots

the last one looks almost like the sword would block the darkness from the right side reaching the left side lol

hmm like the light hits the sword blade which specular reflects out like you said a mirror and becomes the candle, pretty nice though if you get it better under control

Though im not sure if the light source is actually the candle though if you say it should be absolute dark then their most probably is no other point or spot light in the region and it seems it's reflecting the point light of the candle

You know this effect if you take a mirror or another high specular object hold it into the sun and redirect the light the light depending on the source and material will have different effects on its destination, so you might get a diffused light result.
But im not even sure if this can work with ENB (looking @ your picture though it seems to work) and if @ all wouldn't it need reflections to be active combined with IL and a very high specular surface like the sword in this case ?
I guess the effect looks odd here because we expect the sword to shine and maybe even reflecting the candle (depending on the viewpoint) and due to it's looking so matt rendered it becomes strange, this is btw also a problem i have in my last shots the material result doesn't keep up and make things feel odd

Gionight and some others showed some nice screenshots where you actually could see reflections on the Metal sword surface being rendered this is missing here.
Practically all of these shots where though direct light exterior shots i didn't saw this yet in a interior shot working, except on the ground in one shoot here where the window got reflected by setting the reflection param.
Im currently trying to reproduce this for the armor i currently use in my last shoot

Though expect a big render slowdown with reflections if you get the reflection on the sword working in this case

Btw what is the NPCs name in the 3rd shot or is this your Character ?
