Re: TES Skyrim 0.192

i pinpointed the section now

it's

[SSAO_SSIL]

my [SSAO_SSIL] currently is as follows

[SSAO_SSIL]
UseIndirectLighting=true
UseComplexIndirectLighting=true
SamplingQuality=-1
SamplingRange=0.1
SizeScale=1.0
SourceTexturesScale=1.0
FilterQuality=1
AOAmount=1.0
ILAmount=2.999999
UseComplexAmbientOcclusion=true
SamplingPrecision=-1
FilterType=0
AOAmountInterior=1.0
ILAmountInterior=1.0
AOIntensity=1.0
AOIntensityInterior=1.0
AOType=0
AOMixingType=0
AOMixingTypeInterior=0
UseAmbientIndirectLighting=true
UseOldType=true
FadeFogRange=1.0
FadeFogRangeDay=1.0
FadeFogRangeNight=1.0
FadeFogRangeInteriorDay=1.0
FadeFogRangeInteriorNight=1.0
FadeFogRangeInterior=1.0

that crashes 119 @ least

and i guess it's also responsible for up to 12.12.12 crashes as shown before

though the crazy thing is my [EFFECT] is currently this as i use Nvidias Driver SSAO because of the problems i have currently with SSAO only being applied to the hair

[EFFECT]
UseOriginalPostProcessing=false
EnableBloom=false
EnableAdaptation=false
EnableAmbientOcclusion=false
EnableDepthOfField=false
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false
EnableDetailedShadow=false
EnableSunRays=false
EnableSkyLighting=false
EnableImageBasedLighting=false
EnableReflection=false
EnableSoftParticles=false
EnableParticleLights=false

so in theory SSAO is disabled isn't it ?

also crashes before getting updated with all the FadeFogRange updates

[SSAO_SSIL]
UseIndirectLighting=true
UseComplexIndirectLighting=true
SamplingQuality=-1
SamplingRange=0.1
SizeScale=1.0
SourceTexturesScale=1.0
FilterQuality=1
AOAmount=1.0
ILAmount=2.999999
UseComplexAmbientOcclusion=true
SamplingPrecision=-1
FilterType=0
AOAmountInterior=1.0
ILAmountInterior=1.0
AOIntensity=1.0
AOIntensityInterior=1.0
AOType=0
AOMixingType=0
AOMixingTypeInterior=0
UseAmbientIndirectLighting=true
UseOldType=true
FadeFogRange=1.0

same crash

[SSAO_SSIL]
UseIndirectLighting=false
UseComplexIndirectLighting=false
SamplingQuality=-1
SamplingRange=0.1
SizeScale=1.0
SourceTexturesScale=1.0
FilterQuality=1
AOAmount=1.0
ILAmount=2.999999
UseComplexAmbientOcclusion=false
SamplingPrecision=-1
FilterType=0
AOAmountInterior=1.0
ILAmountInterior=1.0
AOIntensity=1.0
AOIntensityInterior=1.0
AOType=0
AOMixingType=0
AOMixingTypeInterior=0
UseAmbientIndirectLighting=false
UseOldType=true
FadeFogRange=1.0

Re: TES Skyrim 0.192

I tried the original 0.192 with blue texture, and it did show VRAM was fully utilized. However, it still CTD after running around for 6 minutes. I read uGridToLoad 9 or 11 are not stable, so I'm wondering if my issue is not memory related. Here's the SkyMon capture.

My OS and Steam are on two SDD, and I lowered the OS swap to bare minimum to 400MB.

I noticed the original 0.192 showed the correct sunsprite rendering, but all test DLLs barely showed it. I've been using K-ENB's sunsprite fx and tga.

i guess it's -1 :)

so negative values i guess aren't compatible with the old ENB parser, as you introduced them later for these SSAO Options and so the old ENBs crash when parsing these negative values causing a instant crash ?

another bug on my list of hunting successes :)

i guess best option to fix this for backward compatibility would be giving up those negative values and add those modes as positive ones, updating the old ENBs to understand it makes no sense as the mode that -1 triggers isn't supported @ all in those.

Boris
I suggest you stop developing for AMD for some time. Because there was news of new overhaul driver release which they said will make games more stable in single gpu mode, plus improve crossfire performance.
That driver is supposed to release at end of July. So i say wait and see what that driver do. If develop for AMD now and new driver mess up everything, it will be waste of time.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.192

Check stuttering and performance difference with this version when enabled memory fix. Compare to 0.192 which is on web site now (updated today) via graph

EDIT: file deleted

CruNcher
Value -1 is compatible with old versions, but some of them have bug in definitions of ssao quality which don't allow shader to compile properly.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.192

Boris
Thanx for your hard work.
I was way too deeply in solving issues with the sunsprite shaders these days. You know it ;) (still stuck with that damn chroma BTW, no code properly working...)
.192 now looks perfect to my eyes. Memory fix still introduces lots of stuttering for now. Running on my 3GB cards or 4 GB cards, the same.
uGrids to 5, default, but heavily modded Skyrim.
Personally, I think that any memory usage fixes you'll try will, in the end, depend a lot on the final user's configuration, PC, mods, settings etc...
My opinion is you could come back to the mod itself... you had the idea on making a separated shader for lens effects to improve the bloom and such... Was very good idea to my eyes.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.192

Unfortunately the crashing due to memory lack is back for me..
I'm going to try the one posted at 15:23 now.

Nope, but a low end 1GB Nvidia card.
So there's no wonder to be expected, although the first funky coloured test versions worked.
