@kaffeekranz
please only PM and please only numbers thx and please ask your girlfriend too
@Boris
when Vram Memory is low is the Engine dynamically streaming the texture lod based on it's camera distance and fov ?
this effect the closer i get to the texture the more it gets loaded the farer away i get soon it gets entirely black some mipmap issue ?
I guess it would be really interesting to see how this behaves with ReduceSystemMemory=true
i guess character textures are loaded @ the end of the query as the whole surrounding texture stay fully intact
though i have Firefox open with the ENBseries Gallery in the background it should consume also heavy Vram using DirectX 10 for Rendering.
Ahh i guess the Engine knows it can't load the texture entirely into Vram and so it streams it ?

I never saw any embryo of texture streaming in gamebryo, so guess that's something else wrong, triangulation is not visible when textures are wrong, it's shadow could be. You have too much issues, i think it's time to install clear OS and if not help, to try another videocard.

Re: TES Skyrim
Nahh im experimenting and you shouldn't forget im still on 1.8 and this is one of the highest resolution ARGB texture ever created for Skyrim
Im sure my system is fine and yeah it's right SSAO and IBL are still on the issue list though i will move to the new 320 driver soon but first i will try your 192 and ReduceSystemMemory still with 314.22 i hope your new X64 versions with the above 3 GB fix fixing the load crashes (my system is 8 GB)
Oh i see i can jump right to 193

Re: TES Skyrim
@CruNcher:
Black skin texture only randomly exists when your graphic card cannot handle ARGB or high texture skin patch. People already told us that we should try low texture version if we get black skin texture issue like this. Please read mod posts clearly. My two friends have same problem like you, so they finally choose to use medium version in order to solve this problem.
Solution 1: install low texture skin version.
Solution 2: buy better graphic card.
Solution 3: uninstall other HD texture patches, let your graphic card can handle skin texture easily.
Other users report that ATI 7970 3GB cannot handle ARGB version well with other hd texture patches, I do not know why you keep trying it and ask boris such question.

Re: TES Skyrim
Happykeen because maybe Boris knows a answer for this Engine behavior and as you see the texture gets loaded but only at close distance it's not like the texture gets entirely scraped, which i thought indicates some kind of lod or smart streaming behavior or a mipmap issue.
Using another lower or compressed texture is nice and easy especially if it gives almost the same result as the engine lod anyways wont show details before a certain camera distance (it makes most of the times no sense @ all using to heavy textures) and fov except you force it todo different which though can endup in crazy results (if everything on screen endsup to sharp it looks odd), but i want to know more and i surely gonna test some things in those regards

Re: TES Skyrim
Maybe here another shoot it was created when i tried to reach the 3 gb limit to test 193 which works really nice
and nope i couldn't reach the 3GB with the normal ugrids settings highest peak was 2GB
1.6 for the test scene captured previously
