Re: TES Skyrim 0.193
i think i got a crash though it's not a crash per se but more a complete application freeze @ 2.5 GB private bytes usage @ ugrids 7 it happens all the time @ exactly that memory usage i gonna check if it happens without ENB as well
Im using your first ENB 193 version non of the test ones yet and Skyrim 1.8.151
System is
Windows 7 X64 Ultimate SP1 (all recent updates)
MSI N460 GTX Hawk 1 GB
Nvidia 314.22 WHQL
8 GB System Ram
Intel core i5 2400 (Sandy Bridge)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.193
ugrid higher than 5 is prone to CTD dont care what system you have. So stop using higher than ugrid 5 and cry about CTD. My PC is pretty beastly running on intel 3930K and dual GTX 780 in SLI and I use ugrid 5. Tire of CTD on ugrid 5. so If you're going to test for Borris stop using higher than ugrid 5 and complain about crashing cause it got nothing to do with the ENB, it's the game engine.

It doesn't ctd the application freezes and triggers watson to come up so theoretically it's a crash but not a ctdcharlievoviii wrote:ugrid higher than 5 is prone to CTD dont care what system you have. a ctd (Crash to Desktop) Watson doesn't react capturing it and tries in the same time to inform Microsoft about it

If they test with some grid parameter, i prefer just to get comparisons without that parameter modified or mods added/removed, important is difference, not the actual values.

I always first test with uGrids=5.charlievoviii wrote:ugrid higher than 5 is prone to CTD dont care what system you have. So stop using higher than ugrid 5 and cry about CTD. Then if it's fine, I *try* ramping it up.

Still texture bug with 25.

freeze, CTD, etc all because of bethesda crappy engine. This subject have been beating to death. I used to use ugrid 7 but after months of trying everything keep on freezing and CTD. I went back to 5 and never have a single issue. The worst is most people have old video card with around 1gb of VRAM wanted to use ugrid 7 or higher and lots of mods. It's not going to happen. A lot of time you're out of VRAM or RAM, download skyrim resource monitor and see it for yourself.
Agreed, but to be honest with all the new mods these day, you don't need ungrid to be honest. Ugrid cause more trouble than beneficial. I enjoy playing the game rather than CTD or freezes.Oyama wrote:I always first test with uGrids=5.charlievoviii wrote:ugrid higher than 5 is prone to CTD dont care what system you have. We test higher ugrid because Boris needed results of what happen when limit is crossed with his fixes.
We know higher ugrid is unstable and for regular gaming use 5. But when testing it is necessary to test it all.
Now stop complaining about that part and go test the files Boris giving. Only 2 person submitting results is not enough.
