charlievoviii wrote:ugrid higher than 5 is prone to CTD dont care what system you have. So stop using higher than ugrid 5 and cry about CTD. My PC is pretty beastly running on intel 3930K and dual GTX 780 in SLI and I use ugrid 5. Tire of CTD on ugrid 5. so If you're going to test for Borris stop using higher than ugrid 5 and complain about crashing cause it got nothing to do with the ENB, it's the game engine.
I'm using just right now ugrids 9 with Serious HD textures + HD2k textures + Vurts flora Summer ed. (grass dist 14k, dens. 20)+ 4k mountains and rocks. And i don't crash. Average fps - 30. With ssao, detailed shadows, skylight, bloom, reflections, particles, IBL. And i'm running from Riverwood to Solitude with doubled player speed. yeah, lil stutters, but still - fix works.
And i have shitty PC, i5-2400 (3.10GHz), 8G ram, overclocked GTX 560ti 2G vram.
So you can use ugrids higher than 5, just don't use hundreds of unstable mods.
lol after FNV, skyrim is most stable game in the world =D

p.s. 24 and 25 textures bug.

DigitalPrinceX
Then i have no idea how to fix texture bugs via existing code and to keep high performance on AMD card at same time (for my mods installed they are fixed).

These tests similar to each other, but ctd and stuttering diffe. Color bug code removed, so performance is lower for AMD (guess version 30 have better, but more ctd).

Have to stop tests for one hour, got my kids to feed :D
But I see some other Nvidia users are back to business ;)
BTW, I'd like to test one version with user definable X64 fix and ReduceMemoryUsage, to clearly identify what causes what.

I see your point, but I agree with DigitalPrinceX, testing zone here.
Higher uGrdis doesn't only mean higher distance details, but also smoother gaming.
Bugthesda fecked it all when they started optimizations (degradations !) memory patches. Now, like Xilandro just said, uGrids highly depends on their interaction with mods.
Higher uGrids were fine before this, whatever the rig (one friend of mine was running uGrids=7 with a 580 3GB and only had 1 CTD per 4 hours ;)

Most of the time it's the game, that's why I always run the game with Skyrim resource monitor and papyrus log. 99.99% of the time it's either out of RAM or VRAM, load order, and fkup script.
