Looks great all and can't wait to give a few a go when we get the chance.
I scrapped my last settings and actually went back to much older one to begin tweaking again--its my cycle apparently. This one is coming around much better all around though so its all good in the name of 'progress' (and so far interiors are not broken! YAY! but I need to tweak and explore more). The last shot is older dead end but just liked it too much not to share.

Man, I missed your work. Great to see you here again!
@ saltr
Can't wait

Aye, but I'm always stuck at my university, doing research and all that. Ph.D has no meaning if you can't travel to other countries and learn about their research, culture, and attitudes. Helps one to evolve. Besides, as much as I love Canada, Sweden's always been home for me, especially since my mother's from there. Lovely country with wonderful people and sights..... what's not to love?
Anywho, an older image..... too much orange, but what the hey?
Can't wait to start updating my ENB, needs a good jolt or three

I know Maevens work but you have no idea how complicated this all is, most things are fake they will fall apart under certain conditions and my goal is to avoid this as best as possible but its toughXilandro wrote:CruNcher >>
What is so special in that girl you're putting so much effort in and posting here? No offence, but she doesn't look realistic.
take a look at this one:

I'm not sure at 100% but looks like it's "Sporty Sexy Sweat - wet body skin texture", and specular settings in enb are pretty high.
Also because in certain directions modder work with bethesda standards and i have big problem get such things to work efficiently without them falling apart in the next second
1 Big issue is Shadow Texture results when no light hits the texture it can become problematic if you work in bethesdas context.
i get very good results with Real Girls but they fall apart very fast as well till now the best results i got was with my own approach outside of bethesdas context, though it brakes the whole game experience and a lot would need to be adapted which is no problem for my own work but for everyones modder work.
it was some work to adapt this but as i said it's unstable, this is a non detail result no addition shadowing no SSAO no IBL really plain

I still don't understand what "fake" are you talking about and what you're trying to achieve with your girl? What will fall apart under certain conditions? What certain conditions exactly? Are you tweaking enb preset in different way as we tweak? Or you're changing weather and imagespace modifiers in CK to avoid unrealistic skin? Because i'm looking at your girl and just can't see nothing special or realistic. Maybe i'm wrong, but i'm married man, i c beautiful woman everyday and i know how realistic female skin looks like.CruNcher wrote:

There's one modder, Kristin, or kindalike, she was trying to achieve something cool with textures, but also fails, don't repeat her mistakes.

Re: TES Skyrim
i don't try to be real you misunderstand i try a so called "hyperreal approach" real would definitely not work, though i don't want to go in an entire ANIME like approach, that's not my goal.
You also need to be calibrated to see the correct color response, that is very important

You're arguing based on taste. There are no mistakes, only differences in taste and desires. CruNcher has his approach and he's doing just fine in his work. I fail to see what's wrong with that logic. If it does not appeal to your sense of realism, fine. Arguing about it as if it's fact that your understanding of realism is the correct one in a video game is completely wrong. And I'm directing this statement at everyone.
