Which settings take precedence? The enblocal.ini in the latest .193, or the ones in ENBoost?
They are equal. ENBoost for users who don't want to use graphics or simply thinking that ENB is graphics only. Old users of ENBSeries don't need to care about ENBoost, they already know everything.

Btw, i posted article how to convert old preset to new, hope it helps

Thanks!

Can't see any trolling here t b honest. Keep calm dude) No need to flames, we are all friends here.
And yeah, best soft to see memory difference is VMMap. It works different than spm but results are more precise and clear.

Sorry, but i have bad experience, each modder is on own mind and will not do anything which will not make him/her more popular/respective/endorsed, that's why everytime i ask for help i don't have any response and only few modders trying to help, but they get bored fast. You are too much optimistic.
I guess Boris refer mostly to "Tessellation" as a DX11 feature.
Modders unable to make tesselation "ready" models, because it's absolutely different modelling task, all geometry must be created from scratch.

I dont' want to talk about dx11 features, you may dream about them, but the time for me vs result doesn't cost of it, i can earn a lot of money instead of developing such things (or to watch anime). Modders can't do extra features even for dx9 version of the mod.
If you say so =)
We can't ask you for more, you've already done a huge work)

he's missing the point of each ENB serries settings are different. He doesnt understand why. There's a reason why each ENB creator/tweaker recommend a specific ENB series version like you said.
Actually, I got annoyed when you told me SPM was working perfectly, didn't I read?, then told another poster that SPM did not work 'perfectly'.
It seemed to me you were not trying to help, just mock others.

I've been modding my copy of skyrim since release, I'm not new. I know how the various ENB configs work, and understand that different releases of ENB do things differently. That doesn't mean I absolutely have to use the version the ENB config author recommends. If I wanted to 'play by the book', I wouldn't be modding in the first place.

I've missed my window for actually playing Skyrim this morning playing footsie with you, so I'll leave saying 'Have a nice day', and I mean it.

nah i wasn't mocking you. I rather make AMD jokes. Also i don't play footsie with another man, I'm not into that whole homo thing. BTW if you re-downloaded the v193 and it still crash with SPM. What video card and driver version you are using ?

Lol. It would be the best 3 seconds of your life. :lol:

I had not re-downloaded .193 before the last time I tried SPM - I've re-downloaded now but I have to go to work and don't have time to test now.

Like I have mentioned before in the last 48 hours, a punch of us was helping Borris testing fix for the SPM CTD. So v193 updated like 2-3 times already and the the SPM crashed issue have been fixed. When you have the chance run it again with the re-downloaded v193 and let us how it goes.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.193

Testing current version of ENB Binary 0.193, with Unreal Cinema ENB profile, on my current rig: Intel i5 3570k, 8gb Corsair Vengeance, and HD7950 (run at stock speeds for tests).

Running lots of texture mods (mod list redirect is on Unreal Cinemas Nexus page). All textures above 2048 are optimized using the texture optimizer tool on Skyrim Nexus.
[WINDOW]
ForceBorderless=false
ForceBorderlessFullscreen=false
Forcing Borderless Fullscreen messes with anti aliasing effects.

I am also running FXAA via Proxy Chaining.
[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=false
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
Runs like normal (as expected). 30 FPS average @ 2560 x 1440.
[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
Massive stutter spikes. 30 FPS average @ 2560 x 1440.
[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=false
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
Still a little stuttering but not as much as before. 30 FPS average @ 2560 x 1440.
[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=false
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
Gave wide red and green edging artifacts. 30 FPS average @ 2560 x 1440.

Did you tried this ?

[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=false
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true

It's recommended performance settings for AMD users.

Wut?
Since most of the detail is stemming from bump maps already, wouldn't it be sufficient to subdivide the base mesh a few times and create a highly enough detailed displacement map?

Just tried that and added the results to my last post.

Better but still some stuttering.
