I am stuck with an issue when I am near Riverwood. My Skyrim freezes.
I tried several stability values but I play mainly with this :
[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false
Tried to remove mods and add others but no success.
I would like to know the reason behind this issue. My GPU seems to be stopped to be called. Yet VRAM and RAM are still used. Used 320.49 WHQL. Trying 326.41 beta.
The highest I could set without CTD is
uExterior Cell Buffer=42
Higher than that, I get a repeatable crash.
I haven't even tested that value extensively, but I don't get the repeatable crash. It may still CTD with extended play time, but who knows?

Using Kountervibe ENB atm which uses 0.197 and while the Reduced Memory options works brilliant i'm getting terrible stuttering.
(not low fps, but like popup stuttering. INI files are vanilla.)
With the Reduce Memory options disabled it's gone. Below is what i was using and causes the stuttering:

Re: TES Skyrim 0.197
You could try using my companion plugin instead of the Dark Dungeon/Further Dark Dungeon mods, as I cover more interiors. Check out PNENB on the nexus. You don't have to use my preset, it works with any of them.insomnia_jt wrote:Ok thanks. I will use the TFC console command and look outside...
This might be because I reinstalled Skyrim as I've never had this issue before. It's the same with other presets as well btw...
BRB
Edit: There's a sky there.... OMG it's Brittleshin Pass! Ive never ever had any issues here. Its a vanilla dungeon.
Im starting to hate Skyrim lol
Edit 2: Jag gick tillbaka till en tidigare version och där funkar det som det alltid har gjort, dvs natt-parametrarna ändrar grottans ljussättning även fast det är dagtid.

Roadkill see my previous post and try one of those 2 optionsRoadKillNL wrote:Using Kountervibe ENB atm which uses 0.197 and while the Reduced Memory options works brilliant i'm getting terrible stuttering.

DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true
[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=false
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true
it will reduce the stutter,judder, frame hopping, frame drop effect and still save memory.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.197
On a different forum, someone stumbled upon a few ini tweaks for users with more than 2 cores that will help reduce stuttering. I'd have to re-install ENB (I'm modding weathers, and looking for performance changes and visuals without using ENB at the moment) to see if this changes anything, but they seem to work on vanilla Skyrim, so take a look

Re: TES Skyrim 0.197
jep that is a interesting part also the hard drive cache could help but yeah multithreading also plays a part as some script loading for those NPC scenes for example can cause also slight stutter.DaemonWhite wrote:On a different forum, someone stumbled upon a few ini tweaks for users with more than 2 cores that will help reduce stuttering. But you should be careful and first test Boris changes and then add those and see how they work together
