Re: TES Skyrim 0.198

Boris
Please, please add options for disabling Timeofday and Weather in interior cells!

Like this perhaps:

Code: Select all

[WEATHER]
EnableMultipleWeathers=true
EnableMultipleWeathersInterior=false

[TIMEOFDAY]
Enable=true
EnableInterior=false
Thank you!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.198

Time of the day not exist in interiors, only exterior locations have sunrise and sunset parameters. Weather is optional unsupported feature, because helper mod not work properly, i don't see any reason to improve not working code.

I'm getting a feeling that TOD is making dungeons be set depending on what time it is in exterior... It seems that TOD is affecting interiors. But I'm not certain yet. I'm checking this atm with dungeons that has sky and those that doesnt have sky...

Oh I didn't know weather was unsupported. I think it works great right now. Just wanted a little extra option. :P
But you're absolutely right. There's no need to work on something that doesn't work as it should.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.198

:D

People will probably blame me for what I'm about to write, but hell, let's go :
I think we should all cool down a bit, and Boris first and foremost.
The rythm he's been keeping going recently is :shock: quite impressive.
Not ass licking, Boris, you know it, you perverted russian,you ! ;) Take it from a perverted french !
I mean, all the recent improvements need to be digested first, and I'm almost sure we're just scratching the surface.
There's already SO much to do via shaders themselves...
24 or 48 or 72 hours without radical changes may be quite usefull to test enough, try, fail and succeed, and see what's exactly doing what and how.
Maybe I'm not skilled enough to understand everything in a snap, that has to be that...

TOD working only to separate sunrise, sunset and small periods of dusk and down. Interior parameters for sunrise and sunset not exist, they are day and night only, so time of the day only converting hours to night day for interiors, but visually it's same as without it, except precision when night or day starts/ends and get full "intensity".

Oyama
Actually i wanted to rest one or two days, but crazy relatives brought me back to frustration and i need to continue modding or watch something to forget everything. You lucky to have children, but i don't have anybody to think and care about, modding is for relaxing or hiding from reality.

@ Boris
Do attempt to rest nonetheless, Boris. You need a good break, it's important. If modding is relaxing then do so, but don't ever force yourself.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.198

Boris
I understand what you mean.
Do whatever is good for you, hope it'll be usefull and make you feel good.
And you're right about my children, they're what makes reality good.

And now..... a mod-related question :
What kind of voodoo did you perform ???
Here's my memory section, wether it be on my 3GB cards or 4GB, the same :

[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
ReservedMemorySizeMb=1024

Ultra modded game, inis, High res textures everywhere, 191 esps and esms, smooth as butter, a real pleasure.
But, that's not all, here's my SSAO-SSIL section :

[SSAO_SSIL]
UseIndirectLighting=true
UseComplexIndirectLighting=true
UseComplexAmbientOcclusion=true
UseAmbientIndirectLighting=true
SamplingQuality=-1
SamplingPrecision=-1
SamplingRange=0.25
FadeFogRange=16.0
SizeScale=1.118
SourceTexturesScale=1.118
FilterQuality=0
FilterType=0
AOAmount=0.83
AOAmountInterior=0.82
ILAmount=2.7075
ILAmountInterior=2.69
AOMixingType=2
AOMixingTypeInterior=2
AOIntensity=0.78
AOIntensityInterior=0.80
AOType=0
UseOldType=false

30-35 FPS exteriors, 45-55 interiors, vsync on, @1080p :shock: :shock: everything else set to max including skylighting, detailed shadows set at -1, besides reflections off for exteriors. On my 3GB cards, not tested with 4GB yet....
I thought I was dreaming, so I rolled back my scales to 1.0 and YES, 1.118 was better, deeper blacks and all... all's normal.
I rolled back to 0.806, and YES it was not as good.
OK, scales were working :D
The thing is : ONLY 2 to 3 FPS less going from 1.0 scales to 1.118 ????..... What's that magic ? How the hell memory fixes can impact SSAO-SSIL that much ????
Incredible.

Take care of yourself as much as possible ! I mean it.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.198

Boris
I don't know what you've done, but It's beyond AMAZING!!

On 0.197 I was still crashing because I would reach the 3GB VRAM limit of my 660 TI (My fault, I know), but yesterday I played Skyrim nearly all day with 0.198, no stuttering, no crash's, nothing. So today I thought to my self... lets see if I can make the game crash.

I have over 300 mods, I think I have every possible highest quality texture mods, the big ones like SRO, SHD, HD2K trough Texture combiner then all small one's like HD food and silly level of detail potions and poisons and pottery and furniture and ores and chests.... and trees and rocks and flora... and better body's and clothes and animals and hairs and aMidianBorn armors and also installed a bunch of 4k textures...... you get the picture.

So I went and played, and no crash...even though VRAM always hitting max. Now, I play at 1920x1200 so I went and downsampled 3264 x 2040 resolution, started playing, played for 25 minutes with basically 100% VRAM usage, entered a whole bunch of buildings just to make the game load more textures, went from Whiterun to Falkreath on horse full Speed, had very low fps, BUT NO DAM CRASH!!

This thing is so stable... congratulations Boris, there wore moments when I thought it was going to crash only to start moving 4 seconds later:mrgreen: here's the graph.

Image

and for comparing purposes I also tried all this with 0.197

Image

Played for 1:37 minutes and crash :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

No I agree with you.

Boris

Boris, I am kinda like you, computing to flee reality. Playing video games or watching TV stay better for relaxing than programming (to my tastes). You can too do like me : adopt a kitten (even if in fact he doesn't give me choice (his mother visited me to give birth on my sofa...).

You noticed the same things ? So I'm not going silly ?

EDIT : nevermind, I'm NOT silly :D

Set ReservedMemorySize to 1280 on 3GB Cards
Tried 1536 a/o 1792 on 4 GBS
All memory fixes set to true
SSAO scales to 1.118, full effects ON.

@1080p, on 3GB VRAM cards, vsync on, set tgm and sprinted from Whiterun to Markath, worst conditions, since FULL mods and HQ textures, 2K at least, 4K as much as I can :D

NOT a crash
NOT a freeze
NO drops
NO lag
Not a SINGLE f***ing issue. Nothing, nada, nichts, ничто, 何も・・・ない

Boris
:shock: ..... This is crazy... fantastic !
