Re: TES Skyrim 0.199

Just started a new game - screens with internal screenshot function are captured at the doubled resolution, but look like the FRAPS screenie JawZ posted before, i.e. 3/4 are black. Guess we are doing something wrong or this needs some more tweaking. ;-)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.199

I can't make real supersampling now, because it's time consuming and rarely used feature by players, same popularity as stereo vision. Temporal antialiasing looks the same as proper supersampling x2 with rotated pixels offset, but much more faster, so it's another important reason not to make real supersampling with complex blending of nearest pixels instead of bilinear filtering from downscaling which is sharper.

Boris
When I saw this work on my 120hz screen , I went like this
Just wow, im almost speechless :D
Is this kind of downsampling game specific, or it work with any enb modified directx game that "support" these high resolutions if tweaked ? :)
ENB just went above Legendary, whatever that is lol

To people with trouble taking pictures correctly
Dont use fraps and dont use insert key, use print screen button ^^

One to prove it fills whole screen capture :)

One cut out from full res 3840x2160 ^^

Yersinia79;

Damn forgot about the windows method :P

Well if you are able to remove the menu text that occurred in my shot (disappears when I enter tm/toggle menu command into the console) I say that this good enough for those that don't wan't to go through the lengthy routine of down sampling via the drivers, or "the old fashioned".

But perhaps it's something wrong on my side, I will try to see if I can find anything that would cause the text to appear.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.199

Okay, i fixed (not updated mod yet) own screen capturing for downsampling (also increased it's performance), but don't understand yet why fraps not work properly, it show me 1/4 of image zoomed.

Boris
FRAPS copies videos directly from the video memory, maybe it does so too with screencaptures and it think its ordinary res?
Almost forgot ENB GUI gets really really small with downsampling on :>

JawZ
Actually hit it by accident lol ^^

LOL - indeed. Works perfectly and looks AWESOME.
I get a totally playable 8 FPS on my poor little laptop with 2x resolution, but hey, still great for some high res pics. Thanks Boris, won't sleep much tonight AGAIN :ugeek:

It definitely does. 2560x1440 is workable (just) but any resolution higher and you'll be contacting Patrick Moore for a telescope for the GUI.

So, a good idea for a future update would be to be able to increase/decrease the GUI size when taking advantage of this feature.
