Re: TES Skyrim 0.204

In the test zip-
Test 1 has 80% less stuttering
Test 4 has 90% less stuttering

No other issues. I think this is the correct direction to go.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.204

Tested new 0.204 versions

New version on main download section had a lot more stutter for me, especially in combat and when doing 180s/360s, no freezes

Test 1 - Improved stutter, no freezes

Test 4 - Stutter slightly improved v test 1 but got an infinite freeze 10min in

New parallax code works - carving panels in Dragonsreach interiors now render correctly

Those "dark shadows" are the game's built in SSAO. Assuming you are nVidia user, you can disable that in the nVidia Control Panel.

What does

Wait Busy Renderer is definitely not for SLI. As the name implies, it makes the busy renderer wait until its finished rendering to continue the next frame.

Fix Physics is Boris's workaround for the high FPS some may get with new binary, any fps above 60 in Skyrim is likely to make funny havoc, ie: floating mammoth, bouncy clutter.

Boris:
Sorry about the extra posts. Test1 does seem easier on the stutter/hesitation. Test4 seems to get stuck if you spin then return to direction, like reloading Vanilla style. Though Test4 is ok, Test1 seems to me to be smoother framerate...less to no hesitation when doing the spin. What is the difference between the two tests, maybe users can give ideas...?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.204

just wanted to say that the .204 from the download section has given me the least stutter and overall highest FPS than any other ENB thus far. Thank you Boris for enhancing this game so freakin much ^^

Re: TES Skyrim 0.204

August 19 .204 I suffer from drastic frame drops while moving or turning.

August 17 .204 works better for me.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.204

New AMD beta driver released.
It resolved the stutter problems A LOT !
Now i have 95% less stutter than before with the "Test 4" version of attached zip.

You seem to have me confused with someone who is an idiot.
Dark shadows caused by ENB.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.204

Posting this just in case it offers any help. For whatever reason I have had very poor luck with 204 - either 8/17 or 8/19 - but the one from 8/19 download section has been the worse. I spent about an hour tonight just changing settings but in the end the only thing that solved the problems was using 201 (the one from the download page). Basically with 204 I would get lots of stuttering and lag. In the last hour I had 3 CTD/Freezes on 204 and none on 201.

I also had some weird issues with taking the carriage. When I first zoned into an area my FPS would be 1-3 only and would stay that way for close to a minute. If all I did was replace 204 with 201 it went away. Put 204 back and it would happen again. It was very easy to repeat the experience consistently.

[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true // also tried false made no diff w/204 issues
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false
ReservedMemorySizeMb=1024 // tried 512, 768 as well - none made a difference with 204 problems
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false

[WINDOW]
ForceBorderless=false
ForceBorderlessFullscreen=false

[ENGINE]
ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true
MaxAnisotropy=16
EnableVSync=false // tried on and off
AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions=false

[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=false
EnableFPSLimit=false // tried on and off
FPSLimit=60.0

201 consistently gave me good performance and stability.
