Hmm i find the Hair shading and it's Anisotropic Shader quiet ok though in your case with bad hair you can shade that how much you want it will look bad and the default hair is bad really badRedFlamez wrote:No bugs here. It looks amazing, I went from 0.15x to this and I am blown away. Great job boris!
I was wondering as a last request from me, is there anything you can do about the hair? It's common diffuse lighting stands out on a beautifully lit body. I know some good combinations of lighting models that make hair look good, like a Minnaert diffuse term with an Ashikhmin-Shirley specular term; and again, I don't know what you can do with skyrim, just trying to make some suggestions as a fellow graphics programmer.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.218
Currently I am using Dimonized UNP body (which is very popular) with All in One Face for Dawnguard as a texture replacement. Using the underwear version. Find it very beautiful.ENBSeries wrote:Forgot to say, as always.
Does anyone interested to modify models to make their sss visible? Like candles.
Another thing, which body mods have good sss texture (pinki-peachy in vanilla game), not brown square, not black, not green? May be i can use such to declare standart of such textures linked to parameters, for example intensity from color is subdermal intensity and color itself is subdermal color saturated, alpha is something else, thickness or epidermal intencity, don't know. And not sure if sss textures will be used for effect, because face mods for certain body also must be updated, users can't install 100 mods and then check out each one if author fixed sss map. For me sss is very noticable, so buggy bodyparts looks like from zombie. Btw, if sss texture will be used, performance will be lower, as i need to rasterise one more texture for deffer and then to use it, additional performance loss similar to bloom performance costs.
For men, I am currently using Better males - Beautiful nudes and faces - New hairstyles (the underwear version). For faces, Finest faces is a good alternative.

SSS textures not used in current version of subsurface scattering and how dark or bright they should be - like vanilla, i can only make new standarts based on suggestions by many users who are very skilled in making body models for skyrim and as 3d modellers in general. Game don't have any data to compute realistic sss, so texture is the only way to do this, but i repeat again, mods not ready to this, even diffuse textures are shit, i'm installing various mods and tired to look at holes in neck and hands, difference in colors between these body parts.
RedFlamez
I can't do anything with hairs, they are not standart even for vanilla, partially drawed without alpha blending with alpha test only, then partially with alpha blending, at last some parts drawed with alpha blending AFTER depth capturing, so this is all kind of ugliness. Some custom hairs looks fine, some have ridiculous amount of specular and some other properties, so i simply don't know how to make something. Btw, on your screenshot vanilla hairs exactly that kind of buggy from two parts, where one drawed after depth capture (i can't draw again, because there no proper sorting).
skysan4298
I can't notice sss on your screenshots, you have very low Amount=0.24 i think.
I think better to add specular computations for sss section, it can be compensated by some ibl setting, but they are generic for everything.

Improvement over old parameters is obvious, and gives SO much more space to tweaking.
Can't wait to see quality parameters working, and specularity settings....

I know it is not in current version, was just wondering I agree most mods are not ready for this, even how textures are put together in-game inside Skyrim is really bad.ENBSeries wrote:Yersinia79

The dirt/old face texture that overlaps everything on many npc´s, also makes difference between body and head more difficult to match :>
The SSS effect you made inside this version, might be best option in the long run for all body textures. Unless someone re-mod skeleton mesh and body textures from scratch to avoid difference/problems when new colors are set :>
I won´t be making that, but I think SSS texture should only contain the color´s you mention. Like a high detail color map without dark lines or any black at all, maybe except the eyes.^^

Don't know what is wrong with children, they look the same wrong for me. Material properties of head is wrong and this can be fixed by some other mod, but why entire body so much bright, don't know, tried to visualize everything from sss separately, looks normal as any other characters, but only after sss computation result is so high. May be diffuse texture brighter a little, but for me not differ much.
EDIT: turned on vanilla game and found that it's different textures, modified bodies much darker, but children have vanilla and much brighter and colorful.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.218
It sounds to me like someone needs to make a new body re-texture mod that can fully utilize the new SSS parameters.
