I'm curious what water effects can you create with the helper plugin?
Like true reflections that reflect actors, trees (not just tree LODs), clouds etc?
Perhaps waves like these hehe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAsoXHHCqWM (DX11 though) :)
Actually, my water already reflects clouds. I was just amazed @looking the water underneath Dragonreach's stairs, just because of that. ;)

Try this inis section :

[Water]
iWaterReflectHeight=2048
iWaterReflectWidth=2048
bUseWaterDisplacements=1
bUseWaterRefractions=1
bUseWaterReflections=1
bUseWaterDepth=1
bUseWaterReflectionBlur=1
bReflectExplosions=1
iWaterBlurAmount=4
bAutoWaterSilhouetteReflections=1
bForceHighDetailReflections=0
bUseWaterHiRes=1
bUseWaterLOD=1
bReflectLODObjects=1
bReflectLODLand=1
bReflectSky=1
bReflectLODTrees=1
bUseWaterShader=1

Boris
Whatever you've done to water, it just fixed one of my long-time headaches : how to trigger some slight anamorphic lens flares from it without destroying my thresholds balance for other light sources.
Well done !! :)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.227

Not sure if dispersion is important for water, it cost extra texture reads (not slow, but not for free) and only noticable when camera near the water, from 5 meters away it not visible. Attached screens with and without

Re: TES Skyrim 0.227

Definitely worth it. Makes the water look much more realistic.

I Think it's worth it, You can still disable and enable the future so why not?
I would gladly have it on because I think it looks great. I don't know if it has been asked before, but refraction... Is that something that would be possible to do?
Or sun shafts through water?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.227

Refraction is "included" by default in game, but it don't have realistic angle dependent distortion and can't have it at all, because background image used. I don't want absolutely to waste a lot of performance to make proper refraction, water modification is not simple task at all and i have a lot of other things to do, water is not important to gameplay.
Sun rays and caustics is another tricky thing, don't want to use texture based or procedural, but generate it from existing water normal maps and project result according to sun. Very hard to make fast and work fine underwater and above it, i'm thinking of this very long time.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.227

If you could somehow make it so that water look more transparent relative to depth then that would be a true godsend.
Then we would no longer have those really ugly super sharp transitions between land and water when looking at it further away.

Properly too much to hope for the the LOD could get that sort of treatment, but it would be up there with sliced bread in epicness!
Everybody who have been standing on a mountain and looked towards solitude and seen all the zigzagy bodies of water, with super sharp transitions know what I am talking about!

edit: I mean reflection wise! Sorry should have stated that! Since the water is obviously transparent when you are standing on top of it!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.227

I've been using the Review Studio mod to screen capture, and for some reason the white.dds filled room is no longer white after 0.226. It's now dark grey. 0.224 or without ENB dll file shows the white room.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.227

Boris, dispersion looks good to me - would like to see it in the next update

Is it possible to make water reflect other objects such as bridges? It's quite immersion breaking that they aren't reflected
