Hey guys, I have giant loading time problems...
When I go out of skyrim into a building or cave or pass through underground areas or buildings into new areas which need to show loading screens first, it only takes 2-3 seconds, but if I try to go back to skyrim, it takes veryyyy long. I timed getting out of Lakeview Manor, 33min 28sec. Then teleporting to Whiterun didn't even work, I left it loading while I went subway, and it was still loading after 40min.
I tried the ENB fps limit, set fpslimit to true and set the limit as 30.0 as I was told to do by someone on the forums.
HELP?!

Issues like that happen when frame rate low or high, so fps limiter or/and vsync are solutions. Second reason is multithreading code issues, with memory manager enabled something going wrong on some systems, don't know why, may be because of changes made to skyrimprefs.ini and skyrim.ini, never had anything like this because of ENBoost.

My experience with this issue was improved significantly after changing this line in ENBSERIES.ini

IgnoreLoadingScreen=false

to

IgnoreLoadingScreen=true

I'm having relatively long load screens since installing an ENB too (but only 20-30 seconds). Could you elaborate about how to fix /track down the problems you mentioned? My FPS has been locked at 60 (even before installing any ENB and I didn't install an FPS limiter myself). I did tweak my skyrim inis to use multi-threading / 4 cores (mentioned in some tweak guide I read). Could that be the problem?

Tweak guides made by incompetent users, not developers of the game engine, i can't say anything in such case. Fps limit exist in nvidia drivers, in enblocal.ini and as vsync, which activated - find yourself. Longer loading screens is game bug which happen when frame rate is too high or too low or when my memory manager enabled and a lot of texture packs installed.

actually this is true for me as well. When my fps drops below 30 in game I tend to see more longer loading time.
I wonder if the hard coded loading screen fps can be unlocked or removed?

It might be worth trying a couple mods...

I've tried to unlock that 30 fps game limit, loading times increased (don't know how much, i'm tired to wait after 7 minutes).

Not really any mention or extensive testing about how it works with ENB+boost or if it's doing the same job.

Things that people have tweaked in the configs that sometimes work for loading screen Zzzz... But as most don't really do a thing it's best to just leave them as the game intended or what S.T.E.P. has to offer.

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 Default. May or may not do a thing to loading times, can be changed to 800-2000, beyond that nobody really knows.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I managed to uncap my fps by forcing off vSync in nVidia inspector, but that didn't do anything and lowering it from 60 to 30 fps didn't make a difference. I'm not using any memory manager, so there's no conflict there.

The Safety Load mod looks promising. I'll have to try that when I get home.

Update: no luck with the safety mod. I did find out something that I hope will be a clue-- I tried out Stakado's. Realistic and Cinematic ENB and it's the only one so far that did not increase loading screen times. It does use 0.112 and does not have an enblocal.ini file. Does this narrow down the possible sources of what could be the problem with my long loading screens? Unfortunately, that ENB causes my character to be translucent at times, so I probably won't keep using it.

Update2: I also found that Enhanced Shaders and FX (uses 13.7.13, with no enblocal file) also does not increase loading screen times. It has an odd glitch though-- it's very hard to describe, but it's as if there were many diffuse patches of dark pixels that don't move as you pan the camera around. It ends up making the screen look dirty actually. It's not grain per se-- the pixels don't move with the rest of the scene. It's very hard to describe, and I'm not sure it'd show up on a compressed YouTube video. If anyone has ideas about what's causing that and how to get rid of it, please let me know.
