Well interesting to know it not only causes some darkness issues but the inversion. The enb reference mod won't crash the game - it is used for weathers mainly by some ENB's. However it creates lighting issues when combined with time of day effects which all the somber presets use. You should be able to enable/disable it safely with your games - I haven't used it myself but I have not heard of any issue in using it, as far as saved games go, either here or on Nexus. You should only use it when using an ENB that is using the ENB weather functionality anyhow - which Somber doesn't do at the moment.

I used Nvidia driver forced Vsync a long time (because to be honest I haven't got ENB Vsync to work until Boris cleared up the dependency between ipresetinterval in my SkrimPrefs.ini and EnableVsync=true and EnableFPSLimit=true in my enblocal.ini and that you have to set Vsync to application controled in NCP or Nvidia Insp.), but now I use ENB Vsync because I just think as more you set to application controled and as less you force by driver as better and as more stable the game.

No issues, no tearing at all.

When you encounter this issue not only in Skyrim, hmm I do not know how old your monitor is, but you are sure that it displays with a fixed image refresh rate and that the image refresh rate equals your set Vsync fps limit?

Hmm, thanks. This actually helped. I had the ENB fps limit set to 30. I restored it to 60, disabled vsync in the driver, enabled it in ENB and the game, and that seems to have worked. Sadly, I cannot get 60fps anywhere anymore (I used to in interiors). I get a solid 30fps everywhere, now, though. Panning stutters just a bit...it doesn't feel perfectly fluid and smooth like it did, but there is no tearing. I think I prefer the feel of the stuttering than the look of tearing, so this will work. Thanks!!

Have you tried just disabling the FPSLimiter? I've had nothing but problems using it. I know people do use it successfully, but maybe you could try disabling it and see if your vsync problems go with it?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.231

If I disable it, the tearing comes back. It seems to be the only option right now to force vsync on. It works, I don't really have any problems, it is just that I don't get the silky smooth panning that I did before. The vsync issue seems to plague all my games right now...not just skyrim. I get tearing in all of them it seems.
