VadersApp
Uh. But isn't it's on game side to control amplitude of waves and wind speed depending from some factors?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233

Boris, I don't run the game with ForceFakeVideoCard enabled. Ever. I set it when I need the launcher to reinitialize the video settings. Otherwise it doesn't see the card properly. I guess leaving one variable is too much to ask. (No one said you had to leave it enabled.)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233

Okay, Boris. I have to admit I didn't get what you were going for with all your water options. I really didn't. I saw some screenshots and was generally unimpressed. I thought: 'Now he's done it. The Mad Russian has gone off his rocker'. Well, I have to swallow a humble pill for all my misgivings, because when I tried it out in-game, using the in-game configuration UI, with the game running instead of paused... it was fantastic. The moment I turned on caustics and ramped it way up (to 5.0 or so)... words can't describe. I'm not done tweaking it, but I had to rush here to tell you that all your troubles: totally worth it. It's fantastic. Not something easily captured by screenshots.

It could be that this has already been mentioned a lot. I've been busy with other games and life, and I haven't kept up with these forums.

But man.
Man o man.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233

Hello Boris!

I play on a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560m with Optimus and everytime i use an ENB Preset (it doesnt matter if old Binary or new and which Driver i use) i must set ForceFakeVideoCard=true (with Wrapper version) so that the sun doesnt shine through everything. I know i can use the injector version but do you (or anybody else) know why this happens?

Ps: Sorry if this was already answered anywhere and sry for bad english ; )

If this not happen with injector, then it's because Intel gpu. Otherwise it's incorrectly configured skyrimprefs.ini (both of them in case of mod manager) or drivers.

Goliatron
Setting reinitialization for what? "ENB" device can't make proper setting for the game, compatible with current versions of the mod, FakeVideocard is obsolete from 0.120 and above!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233

Thx for answer ; )

Because of Intel GPU? Only for info, i selected the Nvidia Graphics Card in Control Panel and SkyrimLauncher.
And i also have set bFloatPointRenderTarget=1. And i didnt change any settings in Nvidia Control Panel except Vsync.

I have forgot to mention if i use your wrapper version i must use the Optimus Fix (Hialgo) because otherwise bad performance. Maybe thats an issue? Asked about that on Optimus Site on Nexus but i got no answer.

Edit: Oh and i use NexusModManager, is there a setting that need to be changed to work correctly with ENB? Doesnt find any settings.

Onmouseover screenshot comparison here.

At 2880x1600 I get an FPS hit of 5 at most (with maximum quality settings). But just look at that. And it's so much better in motion. I haven't been keeping up with the Nexus, but everybody must be rolling over each other shooting watery shots. Right?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233

As water effects get better and better, another odd problem becomes more visible. The foam effects on flowing water now seems to be floating in the air.
Too bad all of these extra effects use particle system and i don't think it will be an easy job to adjust them.

I think that's a problem with incorrect height maps. Before RWT had parallax maps I tried the Pure Waters and WATER parallax textures to see which would look better with RWT and the foam looked like it was floating with the Pure Waters texture but was fixed when I used the WATER one. I installed the RWT parallax maps yesterday but haven't had much chance to see how they look. It could be they're simply not quite right yet. Then again, I could be wrong and your problem could be something else... I'm never sure =P

Boris
I'll second Midhras.
Gorgeous, simply gorgeous.
Water is now living. No matter we're talking about DX9 / 11, what we're searching for (I guess) is some LIFE in our games.
You nailed it there, with those water improvements.
Been using a modified WATER height map provided by namaste_tf, with these settings :

[WATER]
EnableDispersion=true
EnableCaustics=true
EnableParallax=true
EnableShadow=true
EnableSelfReflection=true
EnableDisplacement=true
DisplacementQuality=0
ReflectionAmount=1.2
FrennelMultiplier=3.70
FrennelMin=0.2
FrennelMax=1.0
DispersionAmount=1.0
CausticsAmount=4.25
EnableLighting=true
SunSpecularMultiplier=1.3

Fantastic results.
Be blessed, you perverted russian ! :D
