Я сторонник того чтоб все можно было включать и выключать, совсем удалять не нужно.
Не нужен подводный блюр, ставим false, нужен true. Как обычно в общем.

Remove it.
On another note setting DoDepthOfField=0 in SkyrimPrefs.ini also removes it also makes underwater like clear as air.

Нельзя включить или выключить, либо он будет включен и никаких подводных эффектов, либо выключен и я попытаюсь что-то сделать. Либо одно, либо другое.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233
Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you Boris! Using Kyo's presets made with your amazing technology, and Skyrim, a two year old (and fairly ugly) game looks better than the mega video-game blockbuster newly released hit Battlefield 4 (which took $150+ million dollars to produce). Seriously, using W.A.T.E.R., an experimental height map for the waves, and KENB, and the water looks easily twice as good as it does in Battlefield 4 (and that's just the water, don't even get me started on other graphical magic you've made possible)! You're a one man coding machine extraordinaire! Thank you for making good games great! Not trying to kiss your ass or anything, but damn dude, you should be winning awards with the ridiculously cool graphics technology you're producing!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233
I might get flak for it, but personally I feel that underwater feels more realistic and natural with the blur effect on. Maybe a slider to change the intensity of the blur would be better. Of course as you can tell from my config PNENB, my whole focus is on "natural" realism, so my opinion may not be the norm. But that is my opinion: Keep the blur, or make a slider to change intensity.

I agree Phinix, but isn't the while point of Boris removing the blur so he can improve underwater with his own tweaks and visuals? It's because the blur has all the artifacts that Boris can't do anything, until he removes it.Phinix wrote:I might get flak for it, but personally I feel that underwater feels more realistic and natural with the blur effect on. Re: TES Skyrim 0.233
It's the horrific looking vanilla blur that is getting in the way of him improving the effects.. He can add his own blur. If not depth due to glitches, at least a full screen blur since water generally has a high amount of particulates that interfere with scattering of light, and also the way the cornea interfaces with the water (the water adheres to the membrane, which is a lot different than in air).Phinix wrote:I might get flak for it, but personally I feel that underwater feels more realistic and natural with the blur effect on.
Example of the general blurriness:
(High-quality link without JPEG artifacts)
Also note the high bloom, again because of the diffusion of light by particulates.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233
Well then, if the question is whether to remove the default blur to replace it with something better, then it is a non-issue. OF COURSE, go for it! I have full confidence in Boris' ability to come up with something better. I just didn't want to lose the default blur until there was something better to replace it with.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.233
Phinix has actually just voiced my exact opinion. If the goal is just to completely remove the blur then I would be opposed because visuals underwater ARE blurry... actually, it's a lot blurrier than what the vanilla blur gives us. However, if it's being replaced with something better then absolutely go for it! There just has to be some sort of distortion when underwater. It looking the same as air would just be unrealistic.
