rFactor and rFactor 2 both use the same engine.. The series is used by many professional racing teams to test vehicle setups in relation with real-life setups. It is constantly updated, improved and developed by ISI. There are thousands of mods for rFactor and already hundreds for rFactor 2 eventhough its in late beta. Currently generic enbseries doesnt with rFactor2s HDR.
Assetto Corsa is supposedly the next generation of racing simulation and supposed to compete with rFactor series. Currently it is in beta but available on steam.
Anyways, I know its not your usual cup of tea as far as request; RPGs and arcade stuff, but these simulations are highly modable and demanded by gamers and professionals alike so I thought I would ask..
