Re: TES Skyrim 0.236

For those having problems enabling (under)water settings: make sure you have bDoDepthOfField=1 under [Imagespace] in skyrimprefs.ini enabled. If that doesn't help try to revert to the default ini files and see if it fixed your problem.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.236

I suspect all underwater effects not working are related to improper .ini tweaks. The rule of thumb for .ini files is, if you don't know exactly what it does, don't touch it, tweak it, add it or remove it and if something goes wrong, first thing you do is revert your .ini's.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.236

I do believe you need the helper .dll in your Skyrim\enbseries folder in order for underwater effects to work.

Batched shadows cannot happen soon enough. *Nudge nudge wink wink cough cough sneeze sneeze*

Only few interested in water and nobody in shadows.

I would be very interested in shadows for what it's worth, but it's your mod and time ;)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.236

Nobody interested in shadows? It's probably a situation of the silent majority. Nobody openly wants it, but will voice how much they wanted it when it happens.

Wouldn't batched shadows be much easier on the CPU, than they are currently? Wouldn't there be fewer draw calls?

Personally, I'd love to have shadows without them dragging down my CPU.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.236

I'm developing only what is popular or what is hard enough and interesting to implement, don't see any point in shadows optimization now or at least at current moment of my shitty life.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.236

May be you should take some time off and recharge. Stepping away from things, even a short time, helps me a lot to refocus.
I am sure everybody wishes you the best. But then there is only so much we internet people can do besides of giving words of support.

I would love better shadows, distant shadows, faster shadows, less CPU dependent, shadows for LOD trees, anything...

I'm extremely interested in shadows. I think most people are, but I think most people just wait for it to be developed and refined, then they play with it, experience it, and give feedback.

I think a lot of people also have pretty busy lives, so they give what time they have to their gaming, which most often probably involved them working on their own gameplay/tweaking/whatever. I don't think you have any shortage of fans who absolutely love your work, and certainly no shortage of people who want underwater shadows...they are just waiting for it to occur is all.

If you need to take a break from ENB for a while, you should know that everyone understands. We don't expect anything from you, we are all just thankful you've dedicated so much of your own precious, personal time into something that makes our Skyrim so significantly better than it was originally. If you need a breather, please, take one. Don't kill yourself over ENB.
