Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

Thanks for ELE!

You saw one of my pics about a brigther ruin in the forum of the screenshots.

May I ask you if my modules and load order are correct, or did I something wrong?

I use only ELE.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Guzio - This is the interior (day, with your ENB and no lighting mod, according to what I see from the plugins)

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

Actually there are a few incompatibilities between ELFX and your interior lighting module.
There are a few entries where ELFX does not use vanilla directional ambient colors, and you do.

It is nothing super serious, and most would never notice without knowing what to look for.

I just made the switch from ELFX Enhancer to ELE... properly the best move I have made in a while!
Added on a modified Relightning skyrim, so that it covers all areas that ELFX does not. (IE. I went over every cell and worldspace edit and removed anything that ELFX also edited.)

So far I am really happy with the outcome! Interior lightning is epic atm.
One image says a 1000 or so words, so here goes instead!

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

aal;

The load order is fine for the ELE modules but what about the rest of your load order list, can you take picture or write/copy down you're entire .esp list perhaps.
I think it is a mod that overwrites my ELE module changes.

Try deactivating every .esp file except for the ELE modules and see if that changes the interior look. And try running without ENB as well to see if it perhaps is some brightness/intensity setting in there that have been set too high.
By the way which ELE version are you running with?

Guzio;

Thanks glad you like it :)
You will soon have the possibility of testing it out. Just doing some last minute texture creation/refurbishing as well as setting up the NMM Installer to work without a hitch, hopefully though I haven't run into any problems with it on my end so far.

No I don't mind it at all.

Aiyen;

Hmm must have done those changes in latest version as I did not see such entries in the past.
That would only cause a visual incompatibility and not a technical one. And as using my ELE - Interior Lighting mods do alter the interior ambient and general lighting scheme that is not something I would worry at all about.
I don't use vanilla directional values as I only use my own created Lighting Templates and Imagespaces which I assigned to each interior cell by hand. Some of the Cell menu records haven't been touched as they didn't need to be altered and that is probably the records you are looking at.

I'm glad that you found ELE to be an improvement for your lighting :)
I'm still a bit amazed that I succeded in making ELE as all-around compatible as it is currently, RS, ELFX, RLO, COT etc. For a moment there I thought it would blow up in my face :lol:

It truly does, very good atmosphere in that interior during the night.
I assume it's night as the sun light is very dim and it also looks like there is a galaxy texture in the sky outside the interior cell.

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

Here are some of the new texture additions and improvements I've done so far, I have to apologize for the lousy JPG quality images but I already had them named and converted from BMP so..

50% grey scale sun.dds texture, 1 out of 3 available. This sun texture has no banding and is very user friendly as one only has to tweak the intensity to create a nice glow. It does not reduce the Sun rays length! It's actually bigger in size than vanilla, size of the colored pattern inside the texture not the resolution.
Banding occurrence is of course dependent on what settings you use and your monitor.
Image

Natural sunglare.dds. 1 out of 2 available. A very subtle and as I see it quite an immersive glare texture. Both textures can be used as corona or as enbsunsprite texture.
Image

Vanilla based aurorastreak01.dds, I will create aurora textures with a none vanilla based look later. It's not finished in the picture though more work will be done to it. In case it will be some sort of confusion with the "Vanilla based" this is NOT an up scaled/re-touched version of the vanilla texture! I create all my textures from scratch and have the vanilla textures in view to see how the original look was done. I don't see any value in retouched textures and such texture alterations are taboo in my eyes.
Only one out of the 3 Aurora textures are shown in this images, reason for it being so "empty".
Image

Quality skystars.dds, 1 out of 2 available. This is a new star pattern I created by hand drawing in the stars instead of converting my DSLR images to textures. Higher quality is achieved through this the use of this method.

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

JawZ - Thanks for the reply.

The version of ELE is v44, if I remember in the right way.

Here are some comparisons:

Vanilla

ELE Only

Vanilla + (my) ENB
Image

ELE + ENB
Image

ELE + ENB + Opeth_weather.esp
Image

It seems to me that the modules work.

Thank you

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

The ELE - Light Bulb module seems to work but the ELE DG - Interior Lighting does not.

This is how it should look when you have ELE - DG Interior Lighting and ELE DG-Light Bulbs Interior activated and not using an ENB preset or having the UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics set to true in the enblocal.ini
Image

Try using the ELE load order I suggest on the front page;

Load Order:
  • ELE files only

    - ELE - Spell and Torch Lighting.esp + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - FX Effects Interior.esp *** + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - FX Effects Exterior.esp *** + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - Light Bulbs Interior.esp *** + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - Light Bulbs Exterior.esp *** + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - Interior Lighting.esp + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - Weathers.esp + DLC equivalent modules **
    - ELE - Weather Addition.esp + DLC equivalent modules **

Which looks like this;

- ELE-Spell and Torch Lighting.esp
- Special Lighting.esp
- ELE-FX Effects Interior.esp
- ELE-DG Light Bulbs Interior.esp
- ELE-Light Bulbs Exterior.esp
- ELE-Light Bulbs Interior.esp
- ELE DB-Interior Lighting.esp
- ELE HF-Interior Lighting.esp
- ELE DG-Interior Lighting.esp
- ELE-Interior Lighting.esp
- ELE-Weathers.esp
- ELE-Weather Addition.esp

Re: Enhanced Lightning for ENB, updated 11/03

You are entirely correct JawZ.
It is very small stuff that does not do much, but I fixed them and let your settings prevail anyways!

What I really like about your lighting is the uniformity of the imagespace values etc. To use my faithful good example. When having tweaked fire to look like fire in one location, then it will look like it in most!

Best example is that your values for falmer caves produces proper colored fire, where the Enhancer, or Vanilla ones provide a massive blue tint to it which works nicely enough for vanilla lighting, but horrible once you use any sort of light blub replacement.

Also it helps set up a really epic mood inside interiors, for once I have really nice interiors even with a medium high amount of bloom to help color it.
And yes that shot is a night one... its the moon you can see out the hole in the roof.

Great stuff so far, really looking forward to seeing what you do with those auroras!
