WoodsOfYpres
Currently on latest beta, no issues so far out of 20+ games tested with it.
No issues with ENB.
GTX 770, Win 7 64

Better idea yet for fixing lack of contrast / nuances from CloudsShadow in overcast weathers : moving my lazy ass and starting tweaking weather per weather ;)
LOTS of work :lol:

True all the way IMHO.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

I can make some generic controls of clouds opacity, they bother me because sun hdr texture with huge intensity rarely get covered by clouds, totally opaque only look properly. But don't know how to control this, simple multiplier clamp heavily (above 1 is opaque), non linear function affect too much low opacity clouds. Complex several parameters will be hard for tweaking and bad by performance (clouds drawed in many layers on screen, each will have slow math).

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

If it's easier adapting via the CK, don't bother, Boris.
Also, it's on our end as well. I mean, looks already quite neat on certain weather conditions, so it only needs to tweak multiple weathers to get what we exactly want, right ?
Don't break your head on it, sure you're already thinking about other things ;)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Im back with more info and better pictures. I dont have TAA enabled and my FPS is only at about 20. From previous versions, nothing in my settings have changed, I just updated from .239 to .240 and it appears. Also, none of the water settings by themselves will stop this from happening.

Here is the ghosting, the rock that is out of the water is fine, you can see the image of the rock stacking where there is water all around it. Ignore the blue around my hand.

This doesnt happen in 3rd person it seems, here is me looking down, everything is normal. There is water there, just hard to see cause its shallow.

Here is the same view in first person, I just zoomed the camera in.

Floor is normal again (again there is water, just shallow.)

Here is the same floor when i look down and move the camera.

Espair
I know only one interior water in Robber's Cave, it have bugs, but different. Soon will do an update, check it then, interior water effects will be disabled mostly.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Ok, seems like it only happens indoors, just went to a sunken fortress (the one by that lake near riverwood with necromancers) and same issue. Outdoors, everything is fine though so far.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Boris, about the message on the front page, the issue I had was not with the in-game vegetation/eyes being off in shadow, but with the SSS you added in later which is supposedly mostly for skin and some other stuff like customised candles. However, despite the SSS patch not having any meshes for trees (at least, I don't think so. I glanced over it.) it still seems to apply on most vegetation and behaves differently in 0.240. Seems to be the same issue Guzio's having.

Image

Using:

Code: Select all

[SUBSURFACESCATTERING]
Quality=0
Radius=5.0
Amount=1.0
EpidermalAmount=4.0
SubdermalAmount=12.0
EpidermalDiffuseSaturation=-1.0
SubdermalDiffuseSaturation=1.0
EpidermalMix=0.5
SubdermalMix=0.5
SubdermalTranslucency=0.3
SubdermalPhase=0.0
As in my previous post, I made sure in-game vegetation SSS is off for testing.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

I noticed that when you disable cloud layers in the CK (I have this done for my clear weathers), the cloud shadow effect seems to cover the entire land (ie. no sunlight is visible).

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Version updated, download again
Added clouds opacity parameters. Removed vsync, because by some reason interior water in Rubber's Cave and it's underwater flicker, may be because of drivers, don't know, everything disabled and found that only vsync=false affect this, very strange bug.
offtop: i'm not satisfied by my current nvidia card, can't install x-fi sound because of video driver and nforce driver conflict, when playing games or watching movies i see transparent checkerboard in areas where brightness change fast. damn, i'm seriously thinking to install gf9600 back.

Viscerous
How many times should i say that i DON'T SEE ANYTHING IN THESE BLACK SCREENSHOTS!!! Goddamnit, i wanna kill those idiots who invented lcd displays. Anyway, i didn't any changes to sss which is activated under [EFFECTS] category. Share your entire preset and may be savegame, because i can't find dependency (will do some experiments now based on new info, but i remember that tried already).

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

SSS for characters look the same as in 0.239. I give up.
