Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Sun Intensity, Rays, CloudsEdgeClamp/Intensity and CloudCurve/Intensity are the settings you want to adjust for such a result.

And such an effect have been around to achieve ever since Sun Rays was introduced by Boris.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Agreed with Jawz here... that has always been possible given the cloud layer has alpha of 255 and set to 1.0 in CK and has gaps in the alpha... rays pass through. Don't see whats so special... you don't wanna use the clouds opacity for making huge changes to 1 sunset, youll mess pretty much all the others.

Now back to adding cloud movement in all CoT's cloudy weathers ><

If you finish adding the cloud movement to CoT (and vanilla) could you upload to nexus? I would love to have that mod.

Man, you know how I love your SSAO-SSIL, right ? Didn't I told you one million times already ? :D
You know what ? I'm loving it more and more and I hate myself for not having experiment further before...
I've been pushing some values far beyond reasonable levels recently, and man, oh man... This shit is MORE than gold, it's pure diamond.
From the day you suggested me to push scales over 1.0, I've been slooowly experimenting things, but I'm now discovering combinations I wouldn't have been thinking SO efficient to make image quality go crazy. This entire section is SO under-used it kills me, we can do GREAT things just by freeing our minds a bit....
This is by FAR the greatest AO algorythm I ever saw, the more flexible and precise, and what to say about SSIL ?....
Fantastic.
Well, that was the ass-licking minute, but take my word for it, that crap is pure genius.
You really need to make it wrapping all games now, since it puts HBAO+, ++ and +++++ down to shame. :D

Oyama
I'm planning to make another algorithm which don't have noise at all even for vegetation, but it's minimal performance impact is always big, more like gi. But later, have another things to implement now, more important.

Can't wait !! :shock:
Also, I'm eagerly expecting what you're calling more important.... ;)
But frankly, your SSAO-SSIL.... if only people dared to TRY some things....
I'm amazed that no company offered to buy that thing from you yet... but maybe some did... if not, they really should !

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

The prod80's FX option 1 sun.dds file made that orange sunray peeking out. These four settings to start your preference on the other "intensity" settings to use.
CloudsOpacitySunrise=1.5
CloudsOpacitySunset=1.5
SunRaysMultiplierSunrise=1.15
SunRaysMultiplierSunset=1.15

Here's the faster moving cloud esp mod file, and this only changed two weather ids which are 10a23f and 10e3d4.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Many issues increasing Cloud speed on CoT... starts to look very unnatural since scale between surface <> cloud layer <> sun is just wrong in Skyrim and CoT for that matter. Cant increase speed on CoT clouds, textures are non tiling and other weirdness happening... weather system becomes messed up :S CK has too many bugs in displaying cloud layers correctly to make working somewhat efficient. Have to increase cloud speed from ~5% to 90-100% for CoT to start showing moving shadows, which is just silly.

Can fix it, but would require to replace textures and basically remake the cloud layers using different setup. Could just as well start my own weather mod if I dive into that with 200 different cloudy weathers of CoT. No use, takes too long to fix someone else's work.

O well.

skysan4298:
I have a new sun up for download ;) Made exclusively for ENB use. Less powerful texture setup, smaller sun, allowing more freedom with ENB tweaks to the sun to make it powerful. It's both sun.dds and sunglare.dds in 2K uncompressed.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Trying to make volumetric shadows from clouds now, everything is ok, except issues with transparent objects and mods like Real Clouds from Soolie.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Oh my, is that going to be like the volumetric shadows for underwater? Looking forward to trying that out : )
