Re: TES Skyrim
Yeah, v5 isn't so terrific out of the box. I've heard some complaints about it being too dark. The problem I find when trying to share certain ENBs is that they rarely look the same as my screenshots mostly due to downsampling.OhKay wrote: FarOff ENB v5, just getting started just an hour in from stock, still has a lot of work to do...
Playing while downsampling, everything is much darker. So I have to compensate by brightening settings across the board. But when I need to share the config, I try and darken things again so that it looks closer to my screenshots. I think I'm not doing something right, or possibly leaving a file or two out of v5.
Anyways, I won't make the same mistake for my CLAYMAY version. I think it might be something to do with effect.txt or something.

@Asgaard
Really nice pictures lately! They always look so dramatic.
@EvoFq3o0
I really like your config, I notice you've almost completely ditched exterior fog in some of your shots. It looks better without imo but the downside is always; "What to do with the volumetric fog?
This time I thought I'd just share my current WIP playable config. Don't think I'll release or anything, just doing another playthru with skyRe and some micro-tweaking as I'm playing. Thinking that will organicly make the preset just how I personally like it to look when I play the game.
So no downsampled, 1fps config. Just plain playable ENB settings
Happy holidays everybody!

Re: TES Skyrim
So first pictures posted here. Been working on my own preset for a while. Started out based on Unreal Cinema and then as I learned more and more it grew and changed and I haven't played the game in forever just tweaking. Started using ELE and ELFX and adapting it for use with those. I am using kyos lens and bloom. Won't release it as I realize it looks too much like several other good presets out there but it has been fun so far. Here is some sunrise and sunset pics. The first is current preset, the second was me experimenting with soulwynds new bloom shader

@Matso - I wasn't aware of the new features. I'll be sure to take a peak during my time off tomorrow...
Some new ones from an earlier build of Far Off ENB before v5 which I'm using for a base for the next version. This was one of the earlier Claymay style ENBs I was working on with some added tweaking.

Re: TES Skyrim
It is nice to see that confirmed. I was chatting with Bronze316 about this as I find his presets got really dark on me and said I thought it was mainly due to down sampling and not the mods I had. Nice to see someone else mention that - it does really darken things. Sadly I have gotten rather addicted to it because of how nice it makes images look - I still miss hardware AA as nothing I have seen yet beats it (TAA perhaps but then it has the ghosting issue at times).far327 wrote:Yeah, v5 isn't so terrific out of the box. I have been using the Far OFF Enb a lot though - it hasn't been to dark for me for whatever reason. Done a few showcases with it as I like the look.

Far
i find your v5 ENB is great, just that i have to tweak extensively to get to where i want it to be. take a bit longer before i'm ok with it for screen shots, compares to others (which i have not got ample of time as i'd like to). darkness is not a problem for me cos that's what tweaking is all about. some people are just lazy . i don't down sample, it brings my GTX down to its knees plus i see no point. i'm ok with 2560x1440 native as it is. yeah great work, more v5 from me soon
saltr
thanks here are the fruits from your seed. your approach to Bloom is quite unique and different. i like it! i'm still deciding between your's or Far's to spent some quality time with! your settings are quite fps hungry... the end result are equally rewarding
saltr enb 168 + CoT (with enb v0240) still from the same spot i took with FarEnb v5 from last night

Claymay style ENB you say very distinct look, it's vibrant yet it feels in balance and the nights are just magic!
OhKay
You do amazing landscape shots! The way DOF works is very interesting but it seems to cause some artifacts at the 6th shot :/
