Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
I have no idea, only saw screenshot of 0.241 and 0.243 version, sky is very different. In debug preset i don't see anything and don't remember any changes which may affect anything like that.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
No differences on my side between .241 and .243, sky wise.

ok, understood.
Anyway, just for the record, this is the effect I'm talking about. See how the moonlight lights the surrounding clouds:

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
Using the new AMD R9 290 and I can't get AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions= to work for me, for some reason it won't trick Skyrim into letting me use 2560x1440. Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
To my knowing, " AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions= " is hard-coded to render at 4K : 3840x2160.refusedzero wrote:Using the new AMD R9 290 and I can't get AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions= to work for me, for some reason it won't trick Skyrim into letting me use 2560x1440. Can't you simply dowsample via driver itself ?
Also, don't forget to modify your SkyrimPrefs.ini accordingly : (remove the " ; " before the sizes you want to use, let them all in since " ; " ones are commented out)
For 1440p :
;iSize W=1920
;iSize H=1080
iSize W=2560
iSize H=1440
;iSize W=2880
;iSize H=1620
;iSize W=3200
;iSize H=1800
;iSize W=3449
;iSize H=1940
;iSize W=3552
;iSize H=1998
;iSize W=3840
;iSize H=2160

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
Thank you! Had been rummaging around in old threads forever feeling like I'd gone stupid (perhaps I have).
Sorry for off-topic. Newest 0.243 fixed the issues with water that I didn't even realize I was having until after updating.
Edit: My issue was fixed thanks to Kyo!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
EDIT : see my edit aboverefusedzero wrote: Edit: Strange, still getting 'Failed to initialize renderer' error from Skyrim at the fixed resolution. I must be doing something else stupid, lol.
Be aware that downsampling will dramatically increase overall colours consistency and black levels. The more pixels, the more everything. This has to be counterbalanced via enbeffect.fx, via several ways depending on the postprocess method you're using, or simply via proceduralcorrection. Brute force method can be via ColorPow also.
Indeed, when downsampling, you'll have to tweak a ton of things. There's nothing common between 1080p and 1440p already, 1080p is 2073600 pixels, 1440p is 3686400, almost TWICE more.
EDIT 2 : did you think about switching back " AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions= " to false in enblocal.ini ?

Got it working, thank you! An obligatory "Woah!" is in order here! Skyrim just took a whole new turn for me!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.243
Most welcome.
Downsampling is a brute force method, performance wise, but it improves *everything* in drastic ways.
Enjoy ! (and don't forget to check your GPU temps from time to time ... )

Maegirom
It's not rays, parameters for that are CloudsEdgeClamp, CloudsEdgeIntensity (but i don't remember if it work for moons like i did in gta4).
