Re: GTA San Andreas 0.247

Strange, I thought I have posted a test report this morning...

0.247 works without any bugs for me, reflection looks pretty cool!

Re: GTA San Andreas 0.248

Testing now, will post results later.

EDIT: hmm seems that DOF is a bit broken when SSAO is on. I have the feeling that it's this bug again that original unblurred image is mixed with blurred one so I'd guess on a wrong shader order. Here, look at the border from house to sky, there you see it:

btw I read "Frennel" in the new values for reflection, shouldn't it be "Fresnel"? It's pronounced "Frennel" but "Fresnel" is the spelling....

Re: GTA San Andreas 0.248

Yes, fresnel, but i always making this mistake.

I'll check the issue, but probably it's rescaling of depth texture which i did as fix to the game specific problem with non constant near clip plane. Not sure if i'll fix that, because there is no progress in users activity (and don't post stupid things like i'm wrong).

Re: GTA San Andreas 0.248

Don't know anything about black sky and why this happen (of course it's unfixable as i'm nvidia user). Cars have lower reflection amount if their color is very bright.

Re: GTA San Andreas 0.248

I confirm the black sky bug (I have the AMD videocard).

It seems that the bug appears when the camera distance to the character is within the certain range. When camera is too close or too far, the bug disappears.
Sky is ok when on foot or in the car with camera distance set to minimum or when camera is cinematic.
This range is somehow affected by the weather. Probably it depends on the fog distance.

When on the plane, sometimes the whole screen becomes black (except the hud).

Why so? Seems a little bit unreallistic...
IMHO, reflections are additive by their nature. And if they are less visible on the bright surfaces it's just because their brightness is low compared to the brightness of the surface. But they should still be visible even on white(ish) surface.
Also, reflections should be added after the shadow is substracted. Reflections shouldn't get darker on shadowed surfaces (in fact they even look brighter because of increased contrast)

Oh, btw, it will be great to have night/day settings for reflection amount.
