Re: TES Skyrim

@fedorrrz: Thanks, friend! I think the last shot was take in rain. I'll take some more screens when I return to this config, if I do...

More screens from (surprisingly enough) Whiterun, this time at dusk:

I finally managed to fix the sky!

@R3volter: Thanks to you as well!

@R3volter

Try turning down these settings in enbseries.ini;

SpecularAmountMultiplierDay=X
SpecularAmountMultiplierNight=X
SpecularPowerMultiplierDay=X
SpecularPowerMultiplierNight=X

@theradikal11

Nice hero creation shots :P

And the second last night shot was real nice :)

@fedorrrz

Wow... just wow fedorrrz :)

@Mindflux

Nice amount of color ;) Only thing that bugs me, are the leaves on the plants. They always get so "fally" and I know it's winter and fall themed landscape in Skyrim. It's just bugs me :P

Re: TES Skyrim

I have been trying forever, and I mean FOREVER, to get the right lighting balance for interiors--shadows dark, but not too dark, torches bright, but not too bright, etc--and thanks to the fine posters here, I think I'm finally close to what I want. Let me know what you all think, good or bad.

@haints - hard to tell with a single screenshot where everything is blurry :)

Thank you sir :) I have 3 release candidates right now. The ones with the dark blue sky is release candidate 2.

Here is release candidate number 3. I started from scratch again last night. One thing that's nice is you get a feel for what settings you know are solid and what ones can be adjusted a bit more. Takes a lot less time than before once you get a feel for what you want.

Snow isn't as blinding as last time and sky is more balance to terrain.

So are you going to actually release them? I'd definitely like to test your config. By the way, most of your screens aren't showing up for me now, for some reason ...

Hey thanks. That is definitely my best shot so far but I will post a few more. I like the last shots you posted, particularly the first two (the red tint on the third could be turned down just a bit, maybe.) Excellent contrast, not too black, not too washed out, perfect balance. That is what I am trying for.

That is of course just the DOF. I'll post a few where it isn't so prominent, but remember these are test shots for contrast and brightness, not sharpness ...

Okay, let me know what you all think of these. It seems damn near impossible to get lighting to look right inside universally. In some places it will look too bright, others too dark, etc ...
